Jing Zhi

Over the two years, I heard and read about too many incidents of cruel treatment and brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. I read them with my heart aching and often finished reading with tears over my face.

130 Falun Gong practitioners in Masanjia labor camp in Shenyang city, in my hometown, were brutally tortured and their detention arbitrarily extended due to their refusal to renounce Falun Gong. I was deeply moved and a sense of responsibility grew in my heart. I was moved by their determination in their belief, a belief that gives them righteous mind. They use their lives to resist the evil persecution. That is the power of Truthfulness-Benevolence and Forbearance.

The day before yesterday, I met with a coordinator of a student organization in Carleton University. I told her of the brutal and inhuman treatment from the Jiang's regime to the kind Falun Gong practitioners. Walking on my way home, a serene and venerable feeling grew in my heart. A voice was calling out from the bottom of my heart: "130 precious lives are in danger. What can I do for them? I may tell the truth of the current persecution and what Falun Gong means, to the extent that I have experienced, to all I know. I can do nothing but try my best telling the truth to people. I met so many kind-hearted people that speak for and help us. But that is not enough. The persecution of Falun Gong must be stopped. The 130 lives and more must be rescued urgently."

So I come here. I know my life is tiny as an individual, but mighty as a Falun Gong practitioner who has been assimilating to Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance for three years. It has been bathed in the purest and most righteous qualities of the Universe. That is Falun Dafa and its teachings of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. The universal truth has cleaned the dirt from both my mind and body that has accumulated throughout lifetimes, such as selfishness, hatred, and committing wrong deeds. The growing sense of righteousness and justice that I obtained through the cultivation of Falun Dafa tells me that I should be here. I do not use my life but use what I obtained from Falun Dafa to be here to speak to the Chinese government. Jiang Zemin is ruining the most beautiful moral nature of human kind and his evil actions have known no bounds. China should stop its persecution! I use my purest heart cultivated from Falun Dafa to speak out to the world: If there is no peace and no justice or a high level of moral nature in your heart, the world will become worse and worse. The persecution of Falun Gong should be stopped.

I sit here on hunger strike for three days to appeal to the Chinese government to stop persecuting Falun Gong. I appeal to all kind-hearted people, all levels of the Canadian government and organizations to speak out to your righteous voice to suppress the evil. What the evil fears is the righteousness and justice from all your hearts.
