[Shanghai City] Several Practitioners with Higher Education Degrees are
Illegally Sentenced
Recently, the following practitioners detained last October (their stories
were published on Clearwisdom. net), were illegally sentenced.
Deng Rong, female, 25 years old, holding a Bachelor degree, was sentenced to
3 years in jail. It was said that she spoke out loudly in court, "This
trial is illegal."
Chen Huijing, female, 26 years old, holding a Bachelor degree, was sentenced
to 3 years in jail.
Jiang Bin, male, 26 years old, a Ph.D. student of Fudan University, who is
supposed to graduate this year, was sentenced to 3 years in jail.
Liu Xueyan, male, 28 years old, a Ph.D. student of Fudan University, is
supposed to graduate this year. His situation is unclear.

[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Police Offices Affiliated with the Changchun
City Police Department Decline "Award," Realizing it will Become
Criminal Evidence Once Falun Gong is Exonerated
Last April, in order to encourage the leaders of affiliated police offices,
the Changchun City Police Department planned to award the leaders in order to
incite them to further persecute Falun Dafa. They granted each police office an
"Outstanding Contribution Award" and one to three "Commendation
Awards." In the meeting, however, seven police office directors declined
the awards. One of them said, "Falun Gong is a political issue. It will be
exonerated sooner or later. If I receive the certificate of the award, it will
become evidence of persecuting Falun Gong." Another vice director said,
"The government was wrong at the beginning. Now it continues on making more
mistakes. So many people have died. Many people are detained. Someone needs to
be responsible for this. Falun Gong will definitely be exonerated. Therefore, I
will not accept the award." Nowadays, in fear of retribution, many low
level government officials dare not persecute practitioners at will.
[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] 67 Year-Old Widow Han Wenying is Forced
to Leave her Home for Practicing Falun Dafa
Since July 22, 1999, the Shijiazhuang City Yucai Street Police Office has
closely followed "Human Rights Scoundrel" Jiang Zemin to persecute
Dafa practitioners. Dozens of local practitioners had to suffer hardships as a
consequence. On August 10, 2001, vicious policeman Tan Jun led 7 policemen to
sneak into Han Wenying's home when the door was not locked. They forcibly
kidnapped and put her into a police car, and stole her Dafa books and
truth-clarifying materials. This was the third time they ransacked her home.
They forcefully searched her physically and attempted to send her into a labor
camp. As her blood pressure was too high, the labor camp dared not accept her.
After she returned home, the vicious officials in the police office asked her to
report to them the next day. So during the night, Han Wenying left her home, and
her whereabouts are unclear. A senior widow, whose husband was a martyr, is
persecuted only because she practices Falun Gong and believes in "Truth,
Compassion and Tolerance."
Heaven has warned those vicious police who brutally persecute Dafa
practitioners. Since early summer, there has been no water supply to the police
office. If they still cannot awaken, Heavenly principles will definitely punish
them.

[Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Police Secretly Kidnap a 19 Year-Old
Female Practitioner and Illegally Put her into a Labor Camp
Since October 2000, Gong Haiyan, a resident in Huanglou County, Qingzhou
City, was forced to live in exile. During this time, she was detained twice;
however, she was able to escape. On July 31, 2001, she was detained again when
she was at a practitioner's home in Tanfang Town, Qingzhou City. Afterwards, it
was learned that she was secretly sent to a labor camp.
Recently, the vicious forces in Qingzhou City arrested many practitioners and
forced them to attend brainwashing classes. It was said that the police were
stationed in railway and bus stations. They arbitrarily took the practitioners
to the police office and interrogated them. The entire Qingzhou City is under
this reign of terror.
In Jinzhou District, Dalian Province, Zhanqian Police Brutally Arrest a
Female Practitioner
At about 10am on August 19, 2001, the lawless policemen from Jinzhou District
Zhanqian Police Office came to arrest a female Dafa practitioner who lives on
the second floor of No.2 Unit in No.36 Building, Nanmian Road. She did not
cooperate with the vicious forces. Therefore, she jumped off the balcony and
tried to climb the fence on the first floor. Around 10:30am, the Jinzhou
District Zhanqian Police Office sent in 2 vans, 3 cars and a fire engine. They
videotaped the arrest scene on the spot. While struggling with the police, the
practitioner fell down from the fence. Her face and one side of her leg were
lacerated. Her clothes were torn apart. Four policemen twisted her feet and
hands and pressed her head against the ground. Then they stuck her under the
seat of the van. A vicious policeman trampled on the practitioner's feet with
his leather boots. To prevent her from running away, another policeman
restrained her hands. When the van was driven away from the crowd, four
policemen beat up the practitioner in the van. Now the practitioner's situation
is unclear. We hope all kind-hearted people can step forward to stop the lawless
police from persecuting Dafa practitioners. Do not let such tragedy happen
again.
[Longkou City, Shandong Province] The Police Illegally Arrest and Detain Dafa
Practitioners
Yu Zhilan, female, about 50 years old, is a peasant of Qijia Island in
Longkou City. On June 28, 2001, the local police suddenly came to search her
home, without providing her family with a reason and a search warrant. As they
found some transcripts of Master's articles, several policemen forcibly pulled
her to the police car. She was put into detention later. Her daughter Hu Hairong
had been interrogated many times by the policemen. Finally, Hu Hairong had to
leave home and wander about. Now her whereabouts are unknown.
Xu Shibo, male, over 40 years old, a teacher of the affiliated primary school
of Shengli Oil Ship Company, had received a model employee award many times. He
was illegally arrested the day after he came back from Xiadingjia
"610" brainwashing class and sentenced to 30 days of criminal
detention.
[Jingtai County, Gansu Province] The Police Arrest Dafa Practitioners
Wantonly
Since June and July 2001, lots of Dafa truth-clarifying materials appeared
and the tape recording of the Dafa Radio Station was broadcast in Wufo City and
Luyang City in Jingtai County. The local vicious forces dispatched 5 policemen
from Baiyin City Police Department to set up a "special case group"
with the local policemen.
On the night of July 19, these vicious policemen forced their way into one
practitioner's home, took away 8 practitioners who were practicing the exercises
there and detained them in the county detention center. Practitioners refused to
cooperate with any of the police's vicious requirements. They immediately went
on a hunger strike to protest their illegal arrest and detention, and requested
their unconditional release. As of July 29, these practitioners had been on the
hunger strike for 10 days. We don't know whether they are still alive or not.
The vicious policeman Zhang Guohua is the local leader in persecuting Falun
Gong. He committed countless crimes. Now he has arrested and sent more than 20
practitioners into the detention centers and labor camps. In this crazy round of
arrests, he once again brutally beat up practitioners.
[Yongjing County, Gansu Province] The Police Station Illegally Extorts Money
from Dafa Practitioners
In December 2000, Practitioner Bai Jinyu from Lanzhou City visited a
practitioner in Yongjing County. She was illegally arrested by the local police
and put into a detention center. The police confiscated her bankbook of more
than 30,000 Yuan [about $3600.00, the
average monthly income in China's urban areas is $60.00]. When she was
released this March, the police did not return the bankbook to her. Later, her
family members went to ask for the bankbook twice but were refused.
[Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Some Practitioners in Guangdong Province
are Illegally Arrested
During May 10 to 18 of 2001, police illegally kidnapped practitioners Liu
Cheng (pseudonym), Liu Jia (pseudonym) and Zheng Yun (pseudonym)
at their rented house in Tangxia, Guangzhou City.
Around the end of April, practitioner Xiaotian (pseudonym) disappeared
in Jieyang City.
At the beginning of 2001, practitioner Xiaoli (pseudonym) was arrested
in Qingyuan City when distributing truth-clarifying materials.
In March, practitioner Xiaorong (pseudonym), 20 years old, was
expelled from school, while Lanqing (pseudonym) and another male
practitioner disappeared after distributing truth-clarifying materials in Shunde
City. Now they haven't returned home yet.
Around the end of April, practitioner Lin Yan (pseudonym) and her
daughter (about 3 to 4 years old) disappeared from their home in Yunjing Garden
in Guangzhou City. We call on people to pay attention to the matter. Lin Yan's
husband, Xiaoqiao, was arrested in February (his story was previously reported
on Clearwisom.net). We call on all kind-hearted people to pay attention to what
has happened to this family.
During May 22 to 25, practitioner Chen Jie (pseudonym) was arrested in
Fanyu City when distributing truth-clarifying materials.
On the morning of May 31, practitioner Li Jue (pseudonym) was tricked
by his (or her) former landlord with the excuse of asking him to take away his
belongings. As a result, the policeman waiting there took him away. He is now
illegally held in Fanyu City.
On June 19, practitioner Ajun (pseudonym) disappeared from Jiangmen
City and is still missing now. Other practitioners who previously kept in touch
with him are all missing now. Among them is a 3 to 4 year-old girl. We call on
all kind-hearted people to pay attention to this matter and help them.
Around the end of June, practitioner Xiaowei (pseudonym) and another
practitioner were kidnapped in Huaiji City for hanging up banners.
[Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province] Police Stations in Shaoguan City Madly
Persecute Dafa Practitioners
Since July, according to the directive from "610" Office [an
office specializing in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners; 6.10 refers to June
10th, 1999, when this office was set up], all police stations in
Shaoguan City have been constantly tricking Dafa practitioners into going to the
police stations with all kinds of excuses. They illegally ransacked
practitioners' homes with the excuse that someone had reported them to the
police. Some policemen even directly took practitioners away from their work
places. Up to now, over 10 practitioners were held in Huanggang Drug
Rehabilitation Center and forcibly brainwashed. Some practitioners protested by
going on hunger strike and requested to be released. The current situation is
not known yet.
Some senior practitioners were reported to be distributing Dafa flyers. The
police asked the practitioners' family members to hand in 20,000 Yuan and sent
them to brainwashing classes afterwards. Without any evidence, the police also
forcibly sent a practitioner who came from another city to visit his (or her)
relatives to a brainwashing class.
