Harbin Wanjia Labor Camp: The Police Rape and Kill Determined Female Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) The Dafa practitioners who had been persecuted for a long time were always locked up in the small cells. They were illegally imprisoned beyond the original term of their detention, some for over 9 months. They requested their unconditional release from the camp many times, yet the camp did not give them any reasonable reply. Moreover, these practitioners were not allowed family visits, and the camp authorities withheld many of the appeal letters they wrote. Under the condition of absolute helplessness and inhumane torture, several practitioners imprisoned beyond their terms went on a hunger strike in order to awaken the labor camp leaders' conscience with their suffering and draw the attention of higher authorities. However, the unit head, Zhang Bo said fiercely, "It does not matter even if several of you die. I don't have to be a police officer. I could go home and help my husband with his business." Later on, Wanjia Labor Camp personnel did torture some practitioners to death. On May 24, under the leadership of Shi, the labor camp director, a group of male police officers, using the ruse of "taking them for force feeding," forcefully removed several practitioners from the small cells. On witnessing this, some practitioners in the dining room went downstairs to find out what happened. Instead of being taken for force-feeding, the guards put over 60 female practitioners into the male criminal units. One of them was beaten unconscious on the spot and suffered from bladder incontinence. The others were kicked, beaten and dragged away.

In the male units, the mobs forced the practitioners to write the so-called "guarantee statement (a written announcement to give up practicing Falun Gong) using all kinds of torture. They said, "This is the order from the leaders of the labor camp: you have to write the "guarantee statement" regardless of what means we use to force you to do so." In addition, they singled out some practitioners they considered especially steadfast, such as Grandma Liu, Li Lan, and others. For about a month, they tortured them even more brutally, locking them up in small cells, forcing them to sit on the torture stool, and generally wearing them out. The police dragged one practitioner by her hair on the sandy floor. Her feet were wounded and bleeding in the sand. Some practitioners in different male criminal units were punished by having to squat for 36 hours. Their legs were swollen. If practitioners refused to squat, Zhang, the head of the No.10 Male Unit, would twist their arms and tie them up. Then he ordered two male criminals to sit on chairs and push the practitioners down, to force them to squat. Some practitioners were hung up. Two of them lost consciousness and became incontinent. Practitioners still remained faithful and did not give in. They had not violated any laws and regulations. They would rather die than write the "guarantee statement." The vicious police, however, tortured practitioners even more brutally. They beat practitioners Xie Jinxian, and others black and blue with electric truncheons and police batons. They poured water on the floor, then forced the practitioners to stand or sit in the water and beat and shocked them with electric batons. The practitioners told them the truth with great compassion, but they used glue to paste their mouths shut, or gagged them with socks. Some practitioners, Yang Huiling , for instance, refused to cooperate with these wicked police. The vicious police hung the practitioners up once every ten minutes. "Hanging up" is a very brutal torture. One practitioner cried because one of her arms was dislocated, but she still would not comply with the vicious requests. Those brutal police denied practitioners bathroom use for up to three days. One practitioner wet her pants three times. The mobsters also would not let practitioners sleep. On cold winter days the camp personnel opened the windows and doors, and turned the air conditioner on. The practitioners shivered from the cold. Another mean method was to have practitioners sit on small stools 24 hours for up to 21 days as punishment, but they persisted in their belief of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. The vicious police then aggravated the tortures. They said, "Be clever, hurry up and write the guarantee statement. We got orders from higher authorities; otherwise, we would not dare to do it this way." Practitioners would rather die than yield to the vicious forces.

One determined female practitioner would also not give in, so those brutal police adopted even more contemptible methods. Three policemen gang raped her. Faced with such cruelty, this practitioner still did not comply with any of their requests. The police then transferred the female practitioners to the male units for further torture and ordered the male criminals to monitor them. They officially announced that, from then on, female practitioners were to be guarded by the male units; they would work and eat together with the male criminals. This is the ruling party's so called "rules and regulations in labor camps." Practitioners would never write the "guarantee statement." Without any other means available to them, the vicious police finally had to return the female practitioners to the female units. Some practitioners still would not yield. The vicious police again tied them up, hanging them up for five to six days, to punish them. Zhang Bo, the head of the No. 12 Female Unit beat and abused Dafa practitioners herself. She hung the practitioners up and then sat down and watched. Although practitioners were tortured to the point of being emaciated, and their hands and legs were all swollen, they still did not yield to the vicious police. Cruel Zhang Bo had no tricks left. She sent the female practitioners Liu Fengzhen, Xie Jinxian, and others to the male units again for more brutal torture. When hung up, one practitioner would rather die than surrender. The inhuman police had run out of ideas and had to send the female practitioners back to the female units.

On June 25, 2001, right after the female practitioners were released back from the male units, the labor camp authorities held a meeting. This meeting was for them and also for practitioners detained in Unit No 7, who had also been persecuted. The details are unknown. The mass killing of fifteen female practitioners began then. They selected ten practitioners from each unit who they considered were steadfast in Dafa cultivation and who had not given in, no matter how brutally they had been tortured. The vicious police added one additional year to those practitioners' detention terms. Many other practitioners' detention terms were also prolonged. That day, all the police were fully armed. They wore helmets, belts, and held electric batons in their hands. The vicious people had also carefully planned the seating arrangement in the meeting room. They feared practitioners would step forward to safeguard the Fa when the officers blasphemed Dafa and slandered Master during the meeting. Therefore, they separated each steadfast practitioner, one by one. On one side were four who had given in to the evil and one practitioner. On the other side were two male criminals, one male and one female police officer. Male criminals surrounded the meeting hall. Several doctors and nurses sat in the back rows. They had even brought oxygen tanks, intravenous injection syringes and emergency kits. Many fully armed male and female police stood in the back. About two to three hundred people attended this meeting.

The renegades who have sold their souls to the evil forces and the vicious director of the detention center slandered and defamed Master, Dafa and Dafa disciples during this meeting. The villains' speech was full of dirty words. Three practitioners stood up and spoke loudly, "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa;" "Stop Slandering our Master." Other steadfast Dafa cultivators also stood up to rectify the Fa, one after another. However, the evil people next to them immediately pushed them down. The brutal persecution towards the practitioners began. The male police officers brutally pulled practitioners' hair, hit their heads on the ground and beat them severely. One practitioner yelled, "No beating." The vicious police thugs took out adhesive tape they had already prepared and wound it around her head several times, to cover her mouth. Another female police officer named Wang Min also rushed to the female practitioners who were already knocked down to the ground and kicked them fiercely. Later, this female police officer received her retribution. Her feet became painful and festered. Other female police officers all said this was her retribution for kicking Dafa disciples.

Four female practitioners from Unit No.7 were dragged to the small cells, not far from the meeting hall. Then we heard shouting and screaming. Many practitioners were still in the small cells. All of a sudden, several dozen police crazily ran out the meeting hall. This time, they did not succeed in slandering Dafa. Other practitioners were all taken back to their units. Several days later, one morning at dawn, four female practitioners were carried out from Unit 7 on stretchers. They passed by the window. Later on, at noon, we saw that these stretchers were carried out of the labor camp gate. Afterwards, we heard three practitioners in this unit had died. Even later yet, we heard from a cultivator in Unit No.7 who had been hospitalized that the vicious police tried to force those three practitioners to write guarantee statements. These practitioners were killed because they firmly refused to write the statement.

During those few days some people saw that a few female practitioners were eating a meal outside a window of Unit No.10, a male unit. Other people also saw that female practitioners being held in the other male units were taken to the "evil den," the labor camp hospital and the small cells. Later, we realized that they had used the same ways to torture those practitioners as they had used on others before, and murdered quite a few. The person in charge told one practitioner who was being held in the male unit, "Hurry up to write the guarantee statement. It would be good for you. We actually do not care about it. Our labor camp has received the order from higher authorities. After you are gone, we will bring practitioners from other units and treat them in the same way. If you do not give in you have to die."

More than a dozen Dafa disciples would not give in, even in the face of death. They have left us, one after another, while safeguarding the Fa. They kept their promise that they made long ago. The waves of safeguarding and rectifying the Fa in the Wanjia Labor Camp have been getting bigger and mightier. The evil force blocked the news that they had tortured these Dafa practitioners to death. Other units also blocked the news, because they feared the practitioners would go on a hunger strike. The ruffians then stopped using these brutal torture methods on practitioners and improved the quality of the food-- but they lied by saying that the practitioners had committed suicide by hanging themselves.
