Frequent Righteous Thoughts Eliminate the Evil

I was suddenly enlightened to the importance, the solemnity, and the greatness of using righteous thoughts and the privilege given to practitioners when we read the following passage from "Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference": "Meanwhile, we have to eliminate the evil things, period, because they damage the cosmos and damage all beings. This also means that without these evil things there wouldn't be a need for Fa-rectification. This hasn't occurred in any period of history--there's no precedent, there's no example to follow. Your ability to do all of this well truly reflects your greatness as Dafa disciples. And this is your privilege, because no being in history has had an opportunity like this--this is a first."

In our dimensional space, one is required to send forth, in a pure and firm manner, righteous thoughts in this form - "Fa Zheng Qian Kun, Xie E Quan Mie," (The Fa rectifies the Cosmos, the Evil is completely eliminated) for a few minutes and that is sufficient to achieve the required effect. While in another dimensional space, this results in a battle between "good and evil."

In the article "The Effect of Righteous Thoughts" Teacher Li said: "... A great number of evil beings have been wiped out, and some have been partially wiped out. This has knocked the life out of them, has eradicated the evil in many dimensions not yet reached by the Fa-rectification, and has had the effect of eliminating and frightening the evil persons..."

From articles published on Clearwisdom, I know that many Dafa disciples are sending forth righteous thoughts many times a day at regular intervals to clear away evil beings and to reduce the harm the evil beings are doing to practitioners. Some practitioners use the same techniques to destroy the evils behind many "everyday" people while clarifying the truth to them. There were others who had seen or heard slanderous words about Dafa during Dafa promotion and they voluntarily used the same method to clean out the evil factors. There were many others who used this way to evade persecution and leave the evil's confinement. Others who encountered problems with their computers or when having trouble communication with others have also used this technique to rectify the problem. Evidence from numerous incidences have verified the effects of righteous thoughts and their significance during this Fa-rectification period. However, many students still lack an in-depth understanding, hence rendering them unable to take control. This allows the evil to revive and take advantage of practitioners.

I now understand that Teacher has clearly mentioned in his discourse that the cruel behaviors and vicious attitude of the scoundrels in our dimensional space are actually the result of their being controlled in the background by some evil beings. To clear away these evil beings, the simplest and most direct method is to send forth righteous thoughts "because these so-called evil beings are in fact nothing...Moreover, these evil beings are extremely base and filthy, and are not worthy of playing any role in the Fa-rectification." ("The Effect of Righteous Thoughts")

After my husband and I lost our jobs and became homeless, we sent forth righteous thoughts every hour sharp more than a dozen times every day. We think about clearing away the evil, as well as all the evil behind the prisons, labor camps, detention centers, brainwashing classes and the law-breaking "610 office" (a government department set up specifically for persecuting Falun Gong). We also use our righteous thoughts to support those Dafa practitioners in detention.

At first, there were all kinds of interferences to our righteous thoughts and we could not see any results. Sometimes, my husband would complain that such frequent use of righteous thoughts was too tiring and time-consuming. Through group study of the Fa and group discussion, we improved our understanding of the meaning of righteous thoughts, our righteous thoughts became pure and could be used more smoothly and there are less and less selfish considerations when sending forth righteous thoughts. Every time when other practitioners go out to work for Dafa, practitioners staying at home will send forth righteous thoughts to help them. They, themselves, also recite Master Li's verse to eliminate the evil while walking along. In such a way, every time things get done very smoothly and all practitioners come back safely. Recently, my husband went to rescue a fellow practitioner and ran into a gang of evil people blocking the entrance of the building. They surrounded and attempted to arrest him. My husband silently read Master Li's verse and walked through the crowd of evil people. After he came back, he told me that he was very nervous at that time and also had the attachment of fear, but his consciousness of sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil was very strong. He felt that at that time he only had 20% righteous thoughts, and yet he made his way out soundly. This incident helped him realize more the power of righteous thoughts and the role of sending forth righteous thoughts frequently.

Master Li says, "It's not only you who does the eliminating; if a cultivator can't eliminate it, Gods--including higher Gods--also need to take part in eliminating it." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2001 Canada Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference") My understanding is that as long as we send forth pure and righteous thoughts, even if our capability is not sufficient, there will be gods and even higher gods who come to help us eliminate the evil, therefore our righteous thoughts will certainly play a role. Hence, before all the evils are thoroughly eliminated, if more Dafa practitioners fully realize the necessity and great significance of sending forth righteous thoughts, and they take the initiative to more actively increase the frequency and strengthen the power of our sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil, then when all the evils are completely eradicated will not be far away.

In order to stop the evil from damaging Dafa, in order to reduce the persecution of Dafa practitioners and in order to save more beings, I hope all Falun Dafa practitioners around the world can frequently send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil.
