Right Hon. Jean Chrétien
Prime Minister of Canada
Langevin Blk.
Ottawa, ON K1A OA2
Dear Prime Minister Chrétien:
Re: Falun Dafa
I have had the pleasure of a recent visit from Ms. Alice
Huynh of the Falun Dafa Association of Canada. She reviewed a number of concerns
with me regarding the ongoing human rights abuse in the Peoples Republic of
China in relation to Falun Dafa.
I am writing to express my support for her efforts to ensure
basic democratic freedoms are afforded to all citizens of China. I want to urge
the Government of Canada to continue to pressure China to respect the basic
rights of its citizens and view diversity as a strength rather than a threat.
I thank you for your assistance with this issue.
Yours truly,
Mayor John W. Morgan, B.Sc., M.B.A./LL.B.
