The Vicious Deeds Committed against Dafa Practitioners in Nianzishan District, Qiqihar City

1. The Persecution of Dafa practitioners in a detention center located in Nianzishan District

On June 27th, 2000, ten Falun Dafa practitioners from Nianzishan district went to Beijing to appeal. As a result, they were illegally detained in the detention center of Nianzishan district for a month. During that month, the policeman tortured the practitioners. They utilized several different methods. Listed below are some examples: They cursed the practitioners with filthy language. They punched the practitioners' heads and faces. They beat the practitioners with a stick for several hours. They beat the practitioners with a plastic pipe. During the interrogation, if the practitioners would not speak, the policemen would cover the practitioners' heads with plastic bags and squeeze their necks so that the practitioners were unable to breathe. One practitioner lost consciousness. They poured cold water on him to wake him up. They handcuffed the practitioners' hands across their backs and pressed a brick on top for several hours. They stole the money that the practitioners had in their pockets and then levied addition fines on them, totaling over 3,000 Yuan.

2. Dongan Police Station, Nianzishan District methodically stalks practitioners

Gang Fengqing, a female practitioner from Nianzishan district, 52 years old, went to Beijing to appeal in June 2000. After she was caught, a local policeman, Wang Shi, harassed her everyday. He also told her, "I will definitely send you to prison!" He used Gang Fengqing's neighbor to monitor her.

On the night of June 6th, 2001, three practitioners visited Gang Fengqing's home and were reported to the police by the neighbors. Wang Shi and two other policemen went to Gang Fengqing's house and blocked the exits of the house. After jumping the fence and entering the house, they conducted a search. They found the book Zhuan Falun. They cursed Gang Fengqing and beat her up. All four of the practitioners were held in the detention center that night. After half a month, three of them were released after paying 3,000 yuan in bail. Gang Fengqing was sent to Shuanghei Labor Camp after being detained for two months.
