"610" Office Builds Expensive Brainwashing Center and Begins Kidnapping Dafa Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) Even after torturing at least seven local practitioners to death, the "610" office (an office specializing in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners; 6.10 refers to June 10, 1999, when this office was set up) and the police department in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province did not restrain their atrocious behavior. At the end of August 2001, police stations and agencies colluded with practitioners' work units to further persecute those who persist in their belief in "Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance." They illegally arrested practitioners and sent them to the newly built "Brainwashing Center." The 1,500,000-Yuan center was paid for with taxpayers' hard-earned money.

On the morning of August 28, 2001, practitioner Zhang Wenhui, who works at Shijiazhuang Fertilizer Factory, was forcibly sent to the Brainwashing Center during her work time. (The Center is located in Units No. 1, No. 3 and No. 5 of the Shijiazhuang Labor Camp in northern rural area.) Zhang refused to get into the police car and was forcibly dragged into it by plainclothes police from the factory.

Another employee, female practitioner Wang Huifang was resting at home when she received a message from her workplace asking her to go to the factory in the afternoon. Upon arriving at the factory, she was forcibly sent to Yucai Community Office for a so-called "discussion." The factory party committee had shamelessly lied to her that the Community Office had something to ask her.

Another employee named Yang was also arrested. His or her first name is unknown.

At 9 a.m. on that same day, female practitioner Wu Xiuling, a retired employee of Hua Pharmacy Company, was illegally kidnapped by Yucai Street Police Station. She was carried from her third floor apartment to the ground floor and then forced into the police vehicle. Her husband who is in poor health was left home without care, and now their grandson has no one to take him to and from school. Later it was learned that Wu was also sent to the Brainwashing Center. Her company had to pay 6,000 Yuan, which she had to pay back herself.

In order to hold this brainwashing class, a lot of other practitioners were also illegally arrested. Included in this group was Ma Lanxiang, female, 32 years old; Zhang Jin'ai, female, a 60-year-old employee of No. 2 Valve Factory who was taken right from her home; Zhou Lixia, female, a 38-year-old employee of No. 1 Rubber Factory who was arrested from her work unit; Zhao Weihong, female, around 30 years old, an employee at Kinescope Factory was also arrested from her work unit; Baifo Village resident Tai Chengzhi, male, around 50 years old was arrested at home; Ding Lihong, male, 35 years old, an employee at Shijiazhuang Branch Railroad Station Maintenance Section. Ding's whereabouts are currently unknown.

All those work units and individuals who participated in this criminal activity, please examine your conscience: the cruel persecution of Dafa and Dafa practitioners have been going on for two years, are you really unable to distinguish between the good and the evil? No one can use the excuse "following my superior's order" to escape the punishment from heaven.
