A Practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) I started to cultivate Falun Dafa in July 1996. During the 5 years of my individual cultivation, I felt that I was young, had a good understanding of Dafa, and as a result, tended to slack off in my cultivation. I did not lay a solid foundation of my xinxing [mind nature] cultivation, so the progress of my cultivation was slow.

Since July 20, 1999, I had been unable to step forward to validate Dafa because of my attachment of fear. In order to enlighten us, our benevolent Teacher has written many articles to guide us in our cultivation. In order to encourage us, our fellow practitioners have also published many articles on Minghui.org [English web site: Clearwisdom.net]. As a practitioner in the Fa-rectification period, do we have any reason for not stepping forward to validate Dafa and fulfilling our vows that we made to our respectful Teacher millions of years ago?

I finally awakened after I had this thought. Then I doubled my efforts to make up for the shortcomings that I had had during the period of my individual cultivation. I always made myself live up to higher, and even higher standards. I studied the Fa more so that I could be able to understand the Fa within the perspective of Dafa as quickly as possible. I eliminated any attachment as soon as it was discovered. In this way, I have quickly ascended in my understanding of Dafa. My fellow practitioners and I exchanged our understandings and our minds clearly settled down with respect to Dafa. One of my fellow practitioners made a suggestion: Now that we all want to go to Tiananmen to validate Dafa, why don't we go there together? For all of us who wanted to go to Beijing, the preparation in the subsequent week was not only a test but also the best opportunity for us to examine ourselves and to eliminate our attachments. I realized that now that I had decided to go to Beijing to validate Dafa, I should start from now on to make my thoughts, speech, and conduct conform to the state of an enlightened being. I should always keep a righteous mind and eradicate the evil. I would reject any human notion once it was recognized (In fact, all human rules and regulations were also made up by the old forces in the universe). Only in this way could my human notions be broken through and be replaced by the thoughts of an enlightened being by "gradually getting rid of your human thoughts, and truly stepping forward from humanness" (from "Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples").

In the notice of "Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts" [http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/5/25/10374.html], Clearwisdom.net also mentioned that you should imagine that you are like a god, as tall as heaven and incomparably noble, with an enormous body. In this state, it is an enlightened being, instead of a human who is doing Fa-Rectification. So it is certainly powerful. Being in this state, you will find that your spreading Dafa, eradicating evil, and revealing the truth more easily moves people's heart.

In the several days before my departure to Beijing, all my attachments, human notions, and karma accumulated from many generations of my life surfaced to prevent me from making this step forward. Teacher said, "When you are overcoming a real hardship or tribulation, you try it. When it is difficult to endure, try to endure it. When it looks impossible and is said to be impossible, give it a try and see if it is possible. If you can actually do it, you will indeed find: 'After passing the shady willow trees, there will be bright flowers and another village ahead!'" ["People with Great Inborn Quality" in Lecture Nine of Zhuan Falun]. When I remembered this, my mind calmed down.

Finally, on the morning of August 25, 2001, several fellow practitioners and I, with righteous beliefs, righteous thoughts, and pure and powerful energy fields, stood in a straight line on the east side of Jinshui Bridge in Tiananmen Square and unfurled our yellow silk banners. The red letters on the banners read, "Falun Dafa is good" and "Falun Dafa is a righteous way of cultivation." At the same time, we waved our hands and shouted, "Falun Dafa is a righteous way of cultivation!" "Restore the reputation of Falun Dafa!" "Restore the reputation of our Teacher!" The surrounding Chinese and foreign tourists were shocked and some tourists recorded this magnificent scene with cameras. This effectively suffocated the evil.
