Gently Clarifying the Truth to Stranded Chinese Tourists Caught in a Chaotic Situation

(Clearwisdom.net) On September 11, 2001, terrorists attacked America. The international planes heading to America were diverted to land in Canada, some of which landed at the Vancouver International Airport. The Thompson Activity Center in Richmond was temporarily taken as an "Emergency Reception Center." All the passengers were sent there for registration and hotel arrangements.

Early on Tuesday evening, several practitioners went to practice Falun Dafa exercises as usual at the Thompson Center. Inside the practicing room we could hear the noises of the crowd. They were passengers from the airport, anxious and tired. We realized that it was an excellent opportunity to introduce Dafa. So we went outside and to the lawn to practice, hoping that the melodious Dafa music and the tranquility of our group could relax and calm them down. Two practitioners went to ask the staff there whether they needed any help, telling them that we were Falun Dafa practitioners and willing to be volunteers.

It turned out that they needed Chinese interpreters. Learning of that, a practitioner immediately stepped onto a bus full of people from China. With a sincere smile on his face, he shared his feelings with the passengers and tried to comfort them. He also said, "I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. I am happy to help you this evening." Then he started to interpret in Chinese, telling everyone the procedure of the registration and the necessary details. After the interpretation, he said, "This evening we can meet under such a special circumstance, though it is only a few minutes, it is still a predestined relationship. Therefore, I would like to take this rare opportunity and tell everyone something from the bottom of my heart: Falun Dafa is really good. I hope you will know the truth of it."

All the Chinese people on the bus listened to his words attentively. Many had smiles on their faces. Some nodded in appreciation. Some even applauded and said, "Thank you!"

After they got off the bus, another practitioner took them to the reception center, passing the lawn where we practiced the Falun Dafa exercises. They saw the peaceful scene of people doing the meditation.

We received 4 buses of Chinese passengers with flights originating in Beijing, altogether there were several hundred people. The volunteering practitioners checked the detailed information carefully, making sure everyone got on the right bus to the right hotel. They didn't talk much, but their sincerity and unselfish warmth moved the Chinese passengers.

A gentleman came to the interpreter and told him, "What you just said on the bus is courageous. As a matter of fact, we know that Falun Dafa practitioners are good people, very good people. It's just the persecution of Falun Dafa in China is so severe."

Some people when boarding the bus and looked into our eyes, they conjoined their hands like we do in practicing Falun Dafa exercises and smiled sincerely at us. There was admiration in their eyes. Those sitting at the window as well as near the aisle stood up and waved to us with smiles.

Many Chinese people waiting for the bus inquired about Falun Dafa. Some said words like "It is really a pleasure meeting you people here." Several Chinese officials among the passengers were not feeling easy when they first saw our yellow T-shirts with words supporting Falun Dafa. But they were also moved in the end and their tightened faces became relaxed as they were about to get on the bus.

When the world media was full of reports on the terrorist attack, we were receiving some Chinese passengers directly affected by the incident with the sincerity, kindness, tranquility, and reason of practitioners, melting down their fatigue and anxiety, bringing smiles back to their faces.

Teacher says, "Things appear to be evil and chaotic, when in fact they're all really well-ordered. The old forces made well-ordered arrangements, but I too have done things with much order. No matter which angle you approach it from, there's a way to ultimately resolve these problems. During this period [we should focus on] how we can seize this opportunity to truly demonstrate the extraordinariness and the great mighty virtue of a cultivator. This is also a precious opportunity." We realize that even though there is some chaos in the human world now, we practitioners will continue to clarify the truth thoroughly and move to a new level of offering people salvation through the efforts of each and one of us, planting the seeds of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance", the highest principles of the cosmos, to everyone that we meet.
