[China] Validating Falun Dafa Anywhere and Anytime
When validating Falun Dafa and clarifying the truth, I sometimes gauge things
with a human mentality. I sometimes find myself waiting and counting on others
and constantly expecting changes to come from external factors. I thought I was
only contributing according to the overall situation, but actually I was
ignoring the importance of validating the Fa in various aspects. It's my
personal point of view that on the path of finally reaching consummation there
are a great many things we must accomplish; clarifying the truth and exposing
the evil, however, need to be given significant priority. Once on my way home, I
helped a pedestrian to load what he had dropped on the ground into a vehicle,
and he expressed his appreciation. I spoke to him with a sincere and peaceful mind,
"I am one who practices Falun Dafa, and everyone of us is trying to be a
good person. Don't believe the irresponsible smearing on the TV. Being a good
person will bring one good returns." He immediately replied, "That's true!
I'm all tied up; otherwise I would also practice." I knew that he could
recognize evil, and there would be an opportunity for him down the road.
Someone who is still waiting for changes in the external factors or who is
not advancing diligently won't be able to see the many opportunities to validate
the Fa. Our Teacher has told us that currently each and every day exists for
Dafa's needs, and that through the act of clarifying the truth, we are also
perfecting and harmonizing our own worlds. Let us make further advancement, and
fulfill our prehistoric vows with our own actions.
[Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Law-Violating Staff Members of the
"610" Office Profit from Extortion by Holding Brainwashing Classes
According to reliable sources, there are over a dozen Falun Dafa
practitioners illegally held and persecuted in the city-wide brainwashing class.
Five law-breaking staff members of the "610" Office (specifically
established to persecute Falun Gong) have taken advantage of this
opportunity to rake in huge profits. They extorted money from work units where
Falun Dafa practitioners are employed. They demanded 1,500 Yuan a month for each
practitioner out of which they spent 500 Yuan to hire security guards. The
remaining 1,000 Yuan has gone into the pockets of the five staff members. It is
estimated that at the end of the month, each (of the five)
"responsible persons" has made an illegal income of over 2,000 Yuan (500 Yuan is the
average monthly salary in urban areas in China). In order to push
forward the cruel persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners, these law-breaking
scoundrels have also selected some high-ranking cadres over 50 years-old from
the municipal public security and judicial system to coerce and cheat
practitioners. Recently, plans are under way to round up some Falun Dafa
practitioners across the entire city and throw all of them into the brainwashing
class. We hope practitioners in Qingdao city pay attention to your own safety
and send forth righteous thoughts to eradicate this new round of persecution.
[Shanghai] About a Dozen Falun Dafa Practitioners Illegally Arrested in the
Baoshan Area
Rogues who follow closely behind Jiang Zemin are staging a large-scale round
up of Falun Dafa practitioners in the Baoshan area in Shanghai. In July alone,
over a dozen or so Falun Dafa practitioners had been kidnapped.
When police were arresting female practitioner, Chen Gendi, she refused to
open the door. Vicious police officers pried on the door while calling in an
electric maintenance vehicle with folding ladders. Police climbed into the
building through the windows on the third floor to arrest her. They also
confiscated a copying machine.
Currently, the whereabouts of these kidnapped practitioners are unknown.
[Shanghai] Falun Dafa Practitioners Overcome the Evil Brainwashing Classes by
Not Bowing to the Pressure
So far, four rounds of Falun Dafa practitioners have been detained in
brainwashing classes in the Qingpu area in Shanghai. There were 50 or so people
in the first round. Out of these people, those who resolutely refused to write
statements renouncing Falun Gong were all released on April 19. (Some, including
Lin Mingli and Zhang Songsong, were taken away again in the following few days
and sentenced to forced labor reeducation.) The count of the second round was
around 25 people. Most of these practitioners firmly refused to cooperate with
the evil forces. After three months of detainment, they were released on or
around August 10. The number of people in the third round wasn't available. Most
of them were also released on or around August 10.
[Shanghai] Persecution Suffered by Falun Dafa Practitioners Enrolled in
Universities
Xu Weifen, female, formerly a full time student of Tongji University, was
forcibly suspended from school in the year 2000. Around July 20, 2000, security
officers searched her dormitory and found Falun Gong materials. She was thus
detained in the Yangpu District Detention Center for over a month. In September
2000, she was illegally sent to a labor camp where she protested against these
illegal acts through a hunger strike. One month later, she was sent home.
Nevertheless, within one month of her being sent home she was arrested again and
further details are not available.
Huang Bei, female, fulltime student of Tongji University, had been held in
custody within the university after being taken back from Beijing in July 1999.
University security division illegally sent her to a labor camp for a 3-year term
in June 2000 as she distributed truth-clarifying floppy discs to faculty members
of the university.
Deng Zhihui, male, enrolled in an MS degree program at Tongji University. He
was forcibly suspended from school during the school year of 1999-2000. Teachers
of his department spotted him when he went back to his dormitory to retrieve his
personal belongings in January 2001. He was forcibly thrown into the university
lodging facility and placed under house arrest. Two days later, he escaped. In
May 2001, he was arrested together with Chu, a Tongji graduate with a bachelor's
degree, and sentenced illegally to forced labor "reeducation."
Li Rongqing, male, enrolled in an MS degree program in Tongji University, was
forcibly suspended from school during the school year of 1999-2000, and was
persecuted repeatedly after that. Currently his whereabouts are not clear.
Sun Ran, female, a full time student of Tongji University, was forcibly
suspended from school in 2000.
Lin Li, a female, is a part-time student of Shanghai Foreign Language
University. Three teachers in the university informed the police on her when she
distributed truth-clarifying materials to faculty members in the university in
December 2000. One night after 11:00 PM in December 2000, these same three
teachers lured her out of her home. Police officers in the Yangpu district illegally
sentenced her to 1-year in labor camp due to the testimony against her by these
teachers.
Male Falun Dafa practitioners sentenced to forced labor reeducation are being
held in Dafeng Farm in Jiangsu province and the total number is over 100. Falun
Dafa practitioner Liu Peng's sentence was illegally extended for six months over
his original term for passing around new articles from the founder of Falun
Gong.
Over 100 female Falun Dafa practitioners sentenced to forced labor
reeducation are being held in Qingpu Female Labor Camp in Shanghai.
[Boxing County, Shandong Province] The "Campaign Month" Activities
That Slander Falun Dafa are Resisted by Falun Dafa Practitioner's Righteous Thoughts
Beginning on August 18, the lawless officials in Boxing County have held
slanderous "Campaign Month" activities that attack Falun Dafa. Around
8:00AM on August 23, wind and rain occurred simultaneously with lightning and
thunder. In another dimension, the righteous force was fighting the evil force.
The wind continued to blow, there was constant thunder, and the rain was not
light. It stopped at around 10:00AM.
After Falun Dafa practitioners sent forth their righteous thoughts, three or
four out of the approximately one dozen banners hung along the street in order to
slander Falun Dafa totally disappeared. Several banners' strings were broken.
Two banners were turned over and could not be read. This dealt a heavy blow to
the plan for the "campaign month."
On August 30, every work unit is required to make banners and posters meant
to go on the streets to spread lying propaganda and poison the people. Also on
August 30, the deluded county officials want to hold the so-called
"Exposing and Criticizing Theory Workshop." Each work unit is asked to
write at least one paper attacking Dafa. The Boxing Newspaper will publish these
papers on a special page. The office of the campaign month leadership team is
stationed in the propaganda classroom of the propaganda department of the County
Committee. We hope practitioners worldwide can send forth righteous thoughts
together to stop and destroy completely this "campaign month."
