everywhere" One day in August, a person from my hometown who practiced another Qigong
told me, "Falun Gong is really remarkable - the Falun is truly everywhere.
I couldn't even concentrate on my exercise; it is everywhere. Please lend me
your Zhuan Falun, I would like to practice Falun Gong from now on." This reminded me of what Teacher said once, "The Fa will manifest itself
in the human world one day." We would like to remind people of the world to
awaken to this, so that they can position themselves for the future. This
includes those who are doing evil deeds -- awaken before it is too late! 2. [Shanghai] College-Educated Practitioners Sentenced to Jail The following is a list of practitioners who were arrested last October as
reported by Clearwisdom and sentenced to jail recently. Deng Rong, female, 25 years old, with a bachelor's degree, was sentenced to
three and a half years in jail. It was reported that Deng loudly recited
Teacher's article during her trial, and her microphone was silenced several
times as a result. Chen Huijing, female, 26 years old, with a bachelor's degree, was sentenced
to three and a half years in jail. Jiang Bin, male, 26 years old, Ph. D. student at Fudan University (due to
graduate this year), will stand trial at the end of this month, most likely on
the 29th. Liu Xueyan, male, 28 years old, Ph. D. student at Fudan University (due to
graduate this year), was sentenced to three years in jail. There is a grace
period of three years before the sentence is executed. Lin Yuanxun, female, college student at Fudan University (due to graduate
this year), was forced to flee from school at the beginning of this year. She is
clarifying the truth in other places, but her current whereabouts are unknown. Zhang Gonghua, male, Masters student at Fudan University (due to graduate
this year), was forced to flee from school last year. He is clarifying the truth
in other places, but his current whereabouts are unknown. 3. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Local 610 Office Arrests Dafa
Practitioners The local 610 office has closely followed the orders of the "human
rights scoundrel" Jiang Zemin, viciously persecuting Falun Gong
practitioners before July 22. Fan Xiaofeng, female, 49 years old, was forcefully sent to the brainwashing
class in Chuotou by policemen from the Guangzhou Railroad Commission on June 15
while she was working. Zhou Ronglen, female, about 70 years old, was arrested from home and sent to
brainwashing class by policemen from the South Tianhe Police Substation on July
20. Wu Ruiqi, female, 53 years old, was arrested at around midnight of July 20.
More than a dozen policemen from the Tangxia Police Substation in Tianhe
District went to her home. The policemen knew that Wu and her family members
would resist, so they called her husband, son and daughter, and deceived them
into going downstairs first. They then broke into Wu's home and forcefully took
her to the brainwashing class. Mr. Mo (first name unknown), male, over 50 years old, was forcefully taken
away from work on July 23. His wife, Li Jielian, and his son were forced to flee
from home. Huang Tianjin, male, 60 years old, and his wife Pan Jielin, 58 years old,
disappeared before July 24. 4. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Record of Deeds Committed by Wang
Hongkui And His Subordinates from the Baoyuquan Police Station We are Dafa practitioners from the Baoyuquan District of Yingkou City. Over
thirty practitioners from this district are currently being detained and
tortured. In April 2000, Police Chief Wang Hongkui intended to arrest Dafa
practitioner Lou, so he first arrested Lou's brother in Shenyang City. In order
to get Lou's whereabouts, a group of policemen took turns beating his brother.
In addition, police station arrested Lou's other family members as hostages, not
even sparing the elderly who were over sixty years old. Lou's family members
were not released until he was arrested, and he was then sent to the Yingkou
Labor Camp. The guards at the labor camp often shocked Dafa practitioners using
high-voltage electric batons. Female practitioner Yang was arrested while
distributing truth-clarifying flyers last December. In order to force her to
implicate other practitioners, the guards shocked her and then hung her up to
beat her. The guards shocked female practitioner Yao repeatedly this April, causing the
skin on her back to blacken and her arms to blister. She could not sleep on her
back for a long time after that. They also detained practitioners' family
members, extorting money from them. Some practitioners were fined over 30,000
Yuan. (The average monthly salary in urban areas is around 500 Yuan.) The
guards under Wang Hongkui have committed countless crimes. Every arrested
practitioner has been tortured to some degree. 5. [Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province] Police Kidnap and Beat Dafa
Practitioners Recently, the local police have used monetary rewards to persuade residents
to report Dafa practitioners. A few people's greed has led to the arrest of many
practitioners. The police have tried in vain to force practitioners to do things
against Dafa. They also told practitioners that if they pay 20,000 Yuan and sign
the pledge (against Falun Gong), they would be released, or otherwise, they
would be sent to a labor camp in Sanshui City, Guangdong Province. Since
practitioners are very determined, the guards regularly beat them. 6. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Police Detain Practitioners and Send
Them to Labor Camps Xing Jianping is the city official in charge of persecuting Falun Gong. The
policemen under him have detained determined practitioners for long periods of
time without a specified sentence, and they tortured every practitioner upon
their arrival in the detention center. If family members bribed one of the
"officers" with two or three thousand Yuan, then they would treat the
practitioner a little bit better. However, they still would not release them and
continued to try to force the practitioners to write the so-called "Three
Pledges." (Giving up and denouncing Falun Gong) Practitioner Zou Dekui is 57 years old. On Jan 9, 2000, he was caught
distributing materials about the truth of Dafa. The police detained him for more
than four months and then sent him to a brainwashing class. The practitioner was
released after he wrote the "Three Pledges." With help from his fellow
practitioners, Zou Dekui later realized that he had done the wrong thing. He
declared that cultivating "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance" is
righteous. Zou was then again arrested and detained for 45 days. After his
release, the police still monitored him 24 hours a day. At this point, policemen
from the Tengjiazhen Police Station and Party Secretary Liu of Tengjiazhen
Township forced local villagers to testify that Zou had spread Dafa after his
release. As a result, Zou Dekui was arrested and detained just one day after his
release. It is obvious that they never intended to release him. They just wanted
to go through the procedure and have Zou sign his name on his release document.
Zou was detained for another two weeks and then sent to the Wangcun Labor Camp
in Zibo City on August 13. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] A Beloved and Respected Teacher Sent
to Wanjia Labor Camp Ye Juanli, female, 35 years old, was a dedicated teacher of Chinese language
at the Jianqiao No. 3 Middle School. At the end of this May, she told her
students that Falun Dafa is good and that Zhuan Falun is a precious book
that teaches people to be good. She also clarified the truth about the
self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square. Two of her colleagues reported her
to the headmasters, Liang Fengming and Huang Manyun. As a result, the school
fired Ye Juanli. Around 5 PM on June 5, school administrator Ai Jixiang and teacher Lu
Chengjiang led three or four policemen from the Xiangfang Police Station to Ye
Juanli's home. Ai Jixiang told Ye, "Headmaster Liang invited you back to
school, since the students like you so much." Ye Juanli believed Ai's lie
and opened the door. The policemen then stormed in and searched her home. They
took away all of Ye's Dafa books and sent her to the No.2 Detention Center of
Harbin City. Recently, Ye was sentenced to the Wanjia Labor Camp for one year. 8. [Beijing] Practitioner Couple Trapped by Family Members, Husband Escapes,
Wife's Whereabouts Remain Unknown In the morning of August 8, 2001, Beijing Dafa practitioners Wang Defang and
Li Rurong's (alias) sister and brother-in-law forced the couple's daughter to
find her parents. Along with five policemen, the sister and brother-in-law took
the couple to a police station, where they were detained for a day. Since the
brainwashing class was delayed, they then took the couple to a hotel room.
Inside the room, the family members watched them, while the policemen stood
guard outside. The couple spent the day sending forth righteous thoughts and
eliminating evil. During the night, the husband sent forth righteous thought
again. He forced open the iron security window by breaking the half-inch thick
bars. Although two people watched him, he was able to escape. His wife's
