One More Dreamer

Over time, by practicing Falun Dafa, I have grown profoundly inside everyday. I would like to share this great system with the world. On May 13, 2001, I went to Canada to join the local practitioners and celebrate Canada's First "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance Day" in front of Toronto City Hall. There were many wonderful experiences. I would like to share with you a conversation between a gentleman and me.

Gentleman: "What are you doing?"

Me: "I am a Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) practitioner. I want to let people know about the Law of Universe: "Zhen, Shan, Ren."

Gentleman: "What is that?"

Me: "That means Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance."

Gentleman: "You're a dreamer, nowadays nobody talks about that. Even if you say something about this, nobody will listen."

Me (smiling): "Can you see (pause) what we are doing now? Are you nobody? Can you say I am nobody?"

Gentleman: "Oh...but this will be difficult!"

Me: "Master Li Hongzhi the founder of Falun Dafa -- he teaches us that when we want to do something, we always should start with ourselves. No pursuit and no demands on others. Just do it with our pure heart."

Gentleman: "It sounds good!"

Me: "Do you know? There are over 100 million Falun Dafa practitioners and they are all over the world. They all practice this system for their mind and moral nature through assimilating to the principle of the universe "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance." Falun Dafa is a self-refinement system. It has two parts: one is a cultivation of the mind and moral nature, the other is five simple sets of exercises. Each exercise has a specific health related goal."

Gentleman: "Really! Do you have any material that I can read?"

Me: "Here are some materials and you can go to www.falundafa.ca to obtain more information."

Gentleman: "How much does it cost?"

Me: "Everything is free."

Gentleman: "Why do you let me know about this? What's in it for you?"

Me: "Just think! If everyone were practicing Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance, what kind of environment would we be in?"

Gentleman: "I understand, maybe I should do this too...."

Me: "Go ahead!"

Gentleman: "I really thank you (pause) for your effort and for letting me know about this!"

Me: "It's my pleasure!"

I watched him vanish into the crowd. Maybe he and I will never meet again, but I could see that from that day on, there was going to be one more dreamer like me in the world.
