Some Falun Dafa practitioners have been kidnapped and sent to the brainwashing class in Langfang City. These brainwashing classes are being held in Yuecheng Hotel, Langfang's Second Hotel, the Institute of Piping Employees, the Economic Development District, and at other sites. It has been said that more than 200 practitioners in Langfang City would be forced to attend the brainwashing class and there would be no limit on the duration. Their families would not be informed of the location, nor would they be allowed to visit (unless the practitioners have renounced Falun Gong).
[Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province] Couple Sentenced to Labor Camp after Being Kidnapped
Xu Fengling, and her husband, Ni Qinghua, are residents of Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, and Falun Gong practitioners. Since July 20, 1999, this couple has been illegally detained, sent to labor camp, released when their terms were over, and arrested again in July 2001. At that time, the couple was at home. About a dozen thugs suddenly tried to break into their house. The couple refused to open the door but the thugs pried the door open and broke in. Ni Qinghua was illegally sentenced to 3 years in labor camp and practitioner Xu Fengling is still detained; the police refuse to allow family members to visit or send her any necessities.
[Chaoyang District, Beijing City] Beijing Hire Laid Off Workers to Illegally Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners
Now, the evil forces are using ever more vicious methods to stop people from learning the truth--they hire ordinary people who have been laid off from work due to economic reasons, to do their dirty work. In the Chaoyang District of Beijing, the police are unable to cover the vast housing area of a large business enterprise by themselves and Falun Dafa truth-clarifying literature frequently appears. The police gave green uniforms to some laid off workers and asked them to search the housing area for Falun Dafa practitioners who distribute truth-clarifying literature.
[Chaoyang District, Beijing City] Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Determined with Righteous Thoughts; Beijing Brainwashing "Task" Facing Difficulty
The 610 Office of Beijing Chaoyang District hires a few Falun Gong traitors and reformed people to brainwash determined Falun Dafa practitioners, but recently these people told others, "The 'brainwashing work' can't make progress." This is because the practitioners are becoming more and more rational and clear-minded; their righteous thoughts, which would never cooperate with evil, terrifies the evil and makes it self-destruct. When some people who wrote "three-statements" got out of the brainwashing class and exchanged experiences with determined practitioners, they woke up at once and immediately wrote statements declaring the brainwashing invalid. They joined the mighty current of the Fa-rectification once again and, since they have eliminated their fundamental attachments and refined their understanding of the Fa, became more determined than before.

[Beijing, China] Headquarters of Capital Steel Company Persecutes Falun Dafa Practitioners
Xu and Liu (female, from Ore Company), officials of the 610 Office of the Headquarters of Capital Steel Company, held a brainwashing class on September 4 in the Yanjiao Machinery Factory with four reformed people. The Vice Secretary of the factory's XX Party Committee, Zhang Chenghua, attempted to deceive two practitioners into going to the brainwashing class but failed. Afterwards they went to the workshop to deceive Chen Xiuling, a practitioner who was working in the workshop, vainly attempting to force her to give up practicing. Practitioner Chen was determined to resist this kind of deception. The thugs also went to the dorms of the employees to arrest Falun Dafa practitioners but failed again. On September 11, the class host failed to hold the brainwashing class and had to leave.
However, evil will never rest. On September 14, Zhang Chenghua and some other thugs kidnapped practitioner Chen Xiuling, forcing her into a car while she was working. She was sent to Capital Steel Company Headquarters to attend the vicious brainwashing class; there has been no further word about her.

[Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Thugs in Sanhe City Persecute Falun Dafa Practitioners and Put Them in Labor Camp Once Again
From September 12 to September 13, under the commands of Li Zongyi, et al., the police in Sanhe City started another wave of massively arresting Falun Dafa practitioners to brainwash them. Now practitioners Gao Shuying, Zhou Zaitian and Li Guiling, and others have been detained into the so-called "brainwashing" base to be persecuted.
Furthermore, again the police illegally sent some practitioners to labor camp through the dirty method of ambushing and kidnapping. Practitioners Meng Qingyun (over 40 years-old, accountant of Sanhe City's Hardware Company), Deng Xuemei (over 30 years-old, employee of Sanhe City's Sanitation and Epidemic Prevention Station), and Zhang Donghai (about 30 years-old, Vice Manager of Dingsheng Group Corporation, Ershui Factory) were sent to Tangshan City Kaiping Labor Camp overnight. (Zhang Donghai was not accepted for some reason, so he was transferred to Sanhe City's vicious brainwashing class). Their families were not informed at all, knew nothing about their whereabouts for several days.
[Mianning County, Sichuan Province] Disabled Practitioner in Sichuan Province Arrested and Charged with Seeking to "Overthrow the National Regime"
Sichuan Province Mianning County is located in the remote mountain area of Lianshan Prefecture. There're only a few Falun Dafa practitioners and they don't contact each other. Practitioners Shang Qingling, Xu Xiaoxiang were illegally arrested and charged with seeking to "overthrow the national regime" because they distributed truth-clarifying materials to validate Dafa. These two practitioners refused to stop practicing or talk about the origin of the materials. They started to fast beginning September 7 for unconditional release. Mianning County police replied, "If you don't talk about the origin of the materials and write the statement of repentance, you won't be released even if you go on hungerstrike. If you die, then you die."
It was reported that early this year, there was one practitioner who died from hunger strike in a coerced brainwashing class in Mianning County.
Practitioner Shang Qingling's left leg was disabled due to infantile paralysis and she had to walk on crutches. After she practiced Falun Dafa she became healthy in both mind and body, nevertheless she was charged with the crime of seeking to "overthrow the national regime" due to her belief in Falun Dafa.

[Beijing, China] Beijing Practitioner Yang Xiaojing Illegally Sentenced to Labor Camp
Beijing practitioner Yang Xiaojing was illegally sentenced to Labor Camp for one and half years in August this year. She has been sent to Beijing Tuanhe Dispatch Department. Before this, practitioner Yang had been kidnapped and taken to Dongcheng District brainwashing class. After having experienced the persecution of several brainwashing classes, she was still faithful and unyielding. During the brainwashing classes, she started fasting to resist evil. Later the police had to let her family take her home. Now the police have sentenced her to a labor camp. When her family asked why she was sent to a labor camp, the police merely replied that she had a "bad attitude."
[Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Police Mistakenly Arrest and Beat People, and Use 50,000 Yuan to Settle the Case in Private
A strange accident happened in Jincheng District Linghai City Liaoning Province. The police arrested a woman named Zhao Chunrong who is not a Falun Gong practitioner. They brutally beat her until she was severely injured. People with justice in mind said, "Even if she were a Falun Gong practitioner, the police should not have beaten her so badly. [The police] are so evil."
Ms. Zhao Chunrong is thirty years old and lives in the Daheiyao area. She is an employee at the Paper Core Workshop of the Jincheng Paper Manufacturing Corporation. On the night of June 28, 2001, she went to her work place for a midnight shift. Around 11 p.m., she walked past the east end of the Sihe Small Bridge. A police car stopped in front of her and the policemen pushed her into the car without letting her say a word. After Zhao Chunrong's father heard about it, he reported to the police station about the kidnapping. The policemen found her in a police substation in the Baitaizi County Subdivision after 4 p.m. the next day. When her father and several policemen saw her, she was dying, with blood all over the body and her hand still handcuffed to a heating pipe. A large bundle of her hair was torn off and left on the ground. After the local policemen explained that Zhao Chunrong was not a Falun Gong practitioner, the Baitaizi Police Substation agreed to send her to a hospital in Linghai City.
After the doctors inspected her, they found that she had injuries all over her body. Her lungs were also injured. No responsible person from the police station visited her during her stay in the hospital. Her family members were very angry so they collected the X-ray film, the doctor's diagnosis, and the hair torn from her head. They decided to appeal to the high level government. Some responsible departments of Linghai city heard about it and had a meeting to urgently discuss this matter. The authority decided to give the victim's family 50,000 Yuan (about 6 years total average yearly salary) to settle the incident. Finally, they reached an agreement and settled the deal privately.
[Jingtai County, Gansu Province] The Evil Forces Are Rampant
On July 19 2001, over thirty practitioners from Jingtai County Gansu Province met in a practitioner's house to exchange cultivation experiences. The information was leaked and the practitioners were illegally arrested after policeman Zhang Huaguo from the Political Security Section of the county police department, and many others that he led, broke into the house. Over twenty practitioners were released after having their money extorted. The other eleven practitioners, including Ma Zufu, were illegally detained for a month and later sentenced to forced labor camps. They were sent to the Ping'antai Forced Labor Camp in Lanzhou City.
Male practitioner Ma Zufu is about thirty years old, and graduated from the Northwest Normal University Chinese department. He is an excellent Chinese teacher at the county high school. He was sentenced to one year of forced labor before because of insisting on practicing Falun Dafa. Shortly after he was released, he was again illegally sentenced to forced labor.
During August 20 to 22, the evil forces humiliated eleven practitioners, who were sentenced to forced labor. They did this by parading them through the streets around the county seat and around ten villages and towns.
[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Malevolent People Keep on Suppressing Falun Dafa
Around July 20, 2001, the authority of Zhengding County in Shijiazhuang City illegally arrested over ten practitioners. Most of the practitioners were tricked into being captured or kidnapped from their homes. They detained these steadfast practitioners past their allotted term. Insiders said that the Politics and Legal system of Zhengding County planned to imprison seven or eight practitioners and send the rest to forced labor camps. We hope people from all areas of society will be aware of this evil plot.
The Zhengding County Government and the Politics and Legal System awarded four vicious policemen from the Political Security Section of the Police Department to encourage the increasingly brutal suppression of Falun Dafa. They also asked other departments to "learn" from the acts of these degenerate people.

[Fuyuan County, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Chen Kaiping Is Arrested for No Reason
Practitioner Chen Kaiping of Fuyuan County was illegally arrested while she was going to her work place. She was detained in a local custodial center. One source said that she would be sentenced to forced labor.
Practitioner Li Yan was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. There were only a few days between her being arrested and her being sentenced to forced labor.
[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Police Kidnap Honest Citizens from Their Homes
On May 30, 2001, the policemen at the Xinghua Street Police Substation beat practitioner Zuo Zhigang to death in less than a day, and shamelessly lied, saying that Zuo Zhigang committed suicide by hanging himself with his shirt. After the death, the police substation not only refused to punish the murderer but also hid the murderer by transferring him to work in Pingshan County Hebei Province.
On the morning of September 10, 2001, policemen from the Xinghua Street Police Substation raided practitioner Zhao Wenyu's home and took away Zhao and his mother Ma Rihua by force and detained them in the Xinghua Street Substation. Later, Zhao Wenyu walked out from the evil den with righteous thoughts, but Ma Rihua is still in detention.

[Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Three Female Practitioners Are Illegally Arrested
Three female practitioners from Wuhan city, Zhang Dongfan, Li Junxia, and Li Shan, were illegally arrested near the Yamao Shopping Center on September 11. Police ransacked their houses and took away their money and possessions at will. They are now detained in No.1 Institute (Women's Custodial Center) of Section 7 Wuhan City.
[Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Vicious Beings and Vicious Suppressions
From July 20, 1999 up to now, at least five practitioners from Longquanyi District have been sentenced to forced labor. They are Yuan Bing (Teacher from Luodai Middle School), He Youming (Teacher from Xihe Elementary School), Xie Hongming (Resident of the Luodai area Longquan District), Cheng Zhan (Employee of Agriculture Bank), and Wen Juping (employee of a factory in the Shiling area). More than thirty practitioners have been detained for ten to fifty days without any legitimate legal procedure being conducted. Moreover, suppressions, such as dismissing Falun Dafa practitioners from their work places, giving them large fines, ransacking their houses, sending them to detention at will, and threatening, following, and monitoring them, have been countless.
It was said that starting from August, the Politics and Judiciary Committee had to report to the city government daily if there were any practitioners going to Beijing to appeal. In September, the authority arrested a couple named Liang Kunhua and her husband Yang Kunhua near a Shopping Mall in the Longquan area while they were distributing truth-clarifying literature. Liang is an accountant at the Aerospace Industry College; her husband Yang is a teacher at the same college. Currently there is no information about their whereabouts. The authority also broke into practitioner Tang's house in the Luodai area and took him away by force. He was released after being detained for eleven days. They also threatened, monitored, and followed other practitioners as though they were facing some threatening enemy.
The Politics and Judiciary Committee and Police Department also organized a new round of suppression. A vicious person named Ma Chun of the Security Section of the Aerospace Industry College even said, "Everything except Falun Gong is good. Even robbery and burglary are good deeds."
