Four Practitioners, three from New England, United States and one from England, started their SOS! Global RescueWalk in Europe. Their first stop was Iceland. The first section of the walk was about 10 kilometers, from the city of Hafnarfjordur to the capital Reykjavik.

A local TV station, a radio station, the DV evening paper, and a magazine sent reporters to cover the event. Before they headed for the capital, they went to Chinese Embassy in Iceland to deliver a letter. As usual, the letter was refused by the embassy staff, so the practitioners faxed the letter to them and hit the road again to the capital.
