US Congressman David Bonior's Support Letter for SOS Global RescueWalk

Dear Friends,

You are to be congratulated on this latest undertaking on behalf of all of those people in China who suffer persecution at the hands of government authorities because of their practice of Falun Gong.

The SOS "Global RescueWalk" you are participating in -- which includes Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia and Asia - is a worldwide demonstration of our collective commitment to human rights and freedom for all people.

I commend you in your efforts as you journey through our great state from Detroit to Muskegon and wish you best of luck as you seek to educate the people of Michigan about the plight of the Falun Gong.

Finally, I join with many of my fellow members of Congress in urging President Bush to raise the issue of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners during his anticipated trip to China next month.
