The Brainwashing School in Tangshan City, Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) There is a little-known "educational building" in Tangshan Workers Sewing University located on Xinhua East Drive #4, Tangshan City, Hebei Province. This is a brainwashing school under the direction and control of the 610 office of Tangshan City (an office created by the government to deal specifically with issues related to Falun Gong). The school started in December 19, 2000 and has since been used against hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners. The curriculum in such schools consists of using ruthless methods to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their cultivation and belief. The equipment being used includes handcuffs, electric rods and fists.

Practitioners being detained there were all kidnapped. Besides that, the school officials made practitioners'' family members pay the practitioners'' living expenses for a minimum of three months. The fee is 1,500 Yuan for the first month, 1,000 Yuan for the second month and 800 Yuan for the third month (Chinese currency, the average monthly income for urban workers is 500 Yuan). This action is pretty much the same as gangs. The only thing that differentiates them from the underworld is that their action is supported and encouraged by Jiang Zemin and his regime. Moreover, they work under the direction of government officials who don''t follow the law. The school itself is designed for extorting money to feed the forty staff members who are directly involved in persecuting Dafa practitioners. The actual daily living expenses of Dafa practitioners there is less than 5 Yuan.

In order to make their persecution legal, the officials asked doctors from a mental hospital to give check ups to all Dafa practitioners. Using treatment as an excuse, their persecution raged. They severely beat practitioners up and then handcuff them to their beds under the burning sun. One of the officials named Zhang Ashou, a worker from railroad department of Tangshan Car Product Factory, put all his efforts into the persecution. He drafted a "Teaching Schedule" and even followed the lead of Masanjia Labor Camp by sexually harassing female practitioners. All practitioners there went on a group hunger strike to protest such humiliation. So, officials started force-feeding them violently. One of the practitioner''s blood pressure dropped considerably under such force and was not rescued until after his condition became an emergency.

Cruel torture and persecution couldn''t shake Dafa practitioners'' belief, so the officials sent them to labor camps. One of the practitioners there was Luo Zhijian, an employee from Designation Department of Tangshan Iron Inc.
