(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioner Ma Yongqian, a male, who formerly was a police officer, was illegally detained for going to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. He was sentenced to a labor camp for one year because he refused to renounce Falun Dafa. He went on a hunger strike on July 2 to protest the illegal imprisonment. During the night of August 3rd, Yu Tao, formerly the head of the transportation unit at the labor camp (badge # 2342033), ordered other inmates to force Ma Yongqian's head into the toilet and continued to torture him until 3 o'clock in the morning. When Wang Zhanqi, head of Brigade Three, went on duty, he pretended that he did not see anything. Ma Yongqian was released on August 10 after 40 days of hunger strike. He had been imprisoned for additional 50 days by then.

On August 10, in the canteen of the Changlinzi Labor Camp, seventeen practitioners were tied up and made to sit on the floor in a single row. Among them were Zhang Lin, Yin Anbang, and Wei Hongwei, all males. Then police officer Wang Yuou, and inmates including Wang Baofeng, and Wang Lei beat the practitioners. Zhang Lin was most severely injured with two of his teeth knocked out, badly swollen eyes, and an injured eardrum. Yin Anbang and Wei Hongwei were also injured. Several inmates and guards participated in the torture with Shi Changjing, the vice director of the labor camp (badge # 2342003) directing on site.

On July 2^nd, Sun Shaomin, Zou Yuxiao, Peng Zhenhe, Xue Xingye, Gaoke, and Wang Hongbin, began a hunger strike, and on August 21^st, around fifty practitioners joined them. They have been on a hunger strike for fifty-four days now. While the strike continues, their lives remain in great peril. Shi Changjing made a point of telling them that the authorities intend to make it difficult for them either to live or die.

On August 21, practitioner Cheng Zhongxiang was released. He had been on a hunger strike for 48 days and had been detained for 10 months.

Spearheaded by Shi Changjing, vice director of the labour camp, persecution intensified at the Changlinzi.

We urge all practitioners to send forth the most pure and powerful righteous thoughts to assist the practitioners who are being jailed in China, to collapse the persecution machine of Falun Dafa to ensure immediate justice for the people who have beaten to death or injured Dafa disciples.
