Dafa Practitioner Duan Liangjun Is Illegally Sentenced to a Seven-Year Prison Term

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Duan Liangjun in Huadian city, Jilin province is 35 years old and has a Bachelor degree. He went to Tiananmen Square to appeal at the end of the year 2000 and was unlawfully arrested. He was held in the Daxing county detention center before he was transferred to Jilin province's "610" office ("610" office is setup to specifically handle and persecute Falun Gong practitioners in China) in Beijing, where he was punched and hit so badly that his face and eyes were all bloody. On January 1, 2001, he was taken back to Huadian detention center by Huadian City Police Department and he has been held there for over eight months to date.

During this period of time, the policemen in the police department sued Duan Liangjun. The people's court in Huadian city sent his records and case directly to the People's Supreme Court in Jilin province in the middle of April even without trial. Four months later, the Supreme Court ignored the legal procedure and sentenced Duan to a seven-year term in prison. After receiving the sentence from the Supreme Court, the City Court tried Duan's case on August 23. The public prosecutor raised some questions and then provided some attestations and material evidence. Without verifying the credibility of the alleged evidence, the court illegally handed down an immediate judgment.

We hereby sternly warn those vicious people: Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa; "Good is rewarded with good, evil with evil" is the heavenly principle. Whoever persecutes Dafa will be severely punished!
