(Clearwisdom.net) Teacher says, "[The bad people] produce fake scriptures, disallow students to sleep, fabricate charges, frame up students, spread lies, and so forth. Being threatened severely, deceived, and pressured greatly by all those indecent means, some students have written things like the so-called "guarantees to stop practicing" or "statements of repentance" when they were not in their right minds and forced. None of those were genuine expressions from the students' hearts--they were done against their wills." ("Coercion Cannot Change People's Hearts") Teacher also says, "A Dafa disciple completely opposes everything arranged by the evil old forces." ("Dafa is Indestructible") Therefore, we ought to let the main consciousness predominate. When confronted with the evil, we need to maintain one thought, that is " to completely oppose everything arranged by the evil old forces." The evil will be frightened.

Many practitioners have talked about how to break through the tribulations with righteous thoughts. I found something common in them: They all maintain a strong righteous mind when facing the vicious persecution. Their main consciousness is clear and that really shocks the evil and helps them out of danger.

Teacher says, "As a Dafa disciple, why fear the evil ones when enduring persecution? The crux of the matter is that you have attachments. If not, do not endure passively, and face the evil people with righteous thoughts at all times. No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil's demands, orders, or what it instigates. If everyone does this, the environment won't be this way." ("Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful") At this precious historic moment, I think all the disciples, as an entirety, should reach this requirement of the Fa as soon as possible.

One's thought at a point is critical. Teacher gives an example in Zhuan Falun about a young man who saw some beauties seducing him in his meditation: "This practitioner's xinxing had improved very quickly. At that point, he became alarmed right away. The first thought that came to his mind was: 'I'm not an ordinary person. I'm a practitioner. You shouldn't treat me this way, for I'm a Falun Dafa practitioner.' Once this thought emerged, everything suddenly disappeared since they were all transformed anyway." Teacher also says, "Yet there is also the case where when one fails the first test, one will regret it very much upon waking from sleep. Perhaps this mentality and state of mind will reinforce your thoughts about it. When the issue again arises, you will be able to control yourself and pass the test. If one who fails the test does not care about it, it will be harder to pass later. It is definitely this way."

Whether we can maintain righteous minds and send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil at all times is based on our understanding of the overall situation of the Fa-rectification. Only when we realize the requirement of the Fa-rectification from the point of the Fa, can we effectively distinguish, oppose, and eliminate things arranged by the evil force. Only when we understand the significance of the Dafa work that we involved in, can we send forth righteous thoughts naturally and continuously to eliminate the impurities and the notions arranged by the evil force from our minds and material fields.

Teacher says, "How can the uncultivated side restrain your main thoughts or the side that has already attained the Fa? Having humanly fostered the evil demons, you allow them to capitalize on the loopholes in the Fa." ("Expounding on the Fa") 

I think at this period of time, Dafa disciples ought to "get enlightened" from the point of the Fa at all times and let the cultivated side dominate one's behavior, rather than using human mentality to "think" and let the uncultivated side restrain the divine thoughts. This is critical to whether or not one can fully recognize and break through the arrangements of the old forces and genuinely progress towards Consummation.
