Deputy Officer, Zhang XX of Zhuoni County Police Station, Gansu Province was a well-known leader in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. His daughter, who was working at the same office, was recently killed in a car accident.

The wife of Yang Shilong who was working at the Magistrate Court was suffering an agonizing pain of unknown cause. To find out the reason, Yang went to see a fortuneteller who told him that if he did not stop persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, her life could be in grave danger.

Cui XX of Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province had been attacking Falun Dafa with slanderous words all the time. Last year, while supervising a house under construction, he fell from a scaffold and dislocated his arm at the shoulder. The pain was unbearable. He said to himself, " I deserved the punishment for slandering Dafa. I have to get someone to read me a passage from Zhuan Falun to take my pain away?" (Note: Cui seems to have heard that Zhuan Falun has this effect)

The wife of Zhang Jianwen lives in Yangyu Village, Changling Town, Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province. She had been destroying Dafa posters and materials distributed to people for clarifying the truth and said that she was not scared of retribution. Not long after she said that, mysterious blisters that did not respond to medication appeared all over her body. When she recalled what she had said and regretted what she had done, the blisters disappeared miraculously two days after.

Just before turning of the year 2001, former Party Secretary Li Haichang of Hulan Town, Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province, collaborated with Branch Secretary, Zhang Xiulan of Yongxing Village in persecuting Dafa practitioners. Shortly afterwards, both Li and Zhang were arrested and convicted for corruption. The following are records of people from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province, who have suffered punishment for persecuting Dafa. Early July 2001, the mother of Li Hongbao of Zhengxin Village, Dancheng Town, used the Dafa banner that was confiscated to patch up the hem of her trousers. Shortly afterwards, one of her cows died, and then in December, again another pig died. A cow in the paddock also injured her husband as well. She suffered a loss of over two thousand Yuan RMB. Han Jiang, a loafer from Qingling Village, Qingling Township was used by the Qingling Police Station to persecute Dafa practitioners. Early in the spring of 2001, Han was arrested in Beijing for robbery.

Su Peng and Wu Jingyi of Qingling Village, Qingling Township had been conducting brainwashing classes, persecuting Dafa practitioners, and slandering Dafa and Teacher Li during the Spring festival period in 2000. In November 2001, while riding a motor bike with Wu, Su suddenly blacked out, fell from the bike and broke his finger. Wu's helmet was broken; he injured his head and had blood dripping all over his face.

Yan Jun, Chief officer of Xiqin Township Police Station had been illegally arresting and detaining Dafa practitioners, confiscating their properties, putting them through tortures and imposing improper fines. In March 2001, Yan and his associates were arrested and charged for gang raping women. Sang Jun, the village security officer, had been using mean techniques to spy on Dafa practitioners activities so he could report to his superiors. In May 2001, while sleeping, he fell from his bed. With one leg poking through the glass pane of his wardrobe, his ankle was cut badly.

Court Secretary Wang Jiwen of Xiqin Township had been responsible for persecuting Dafa practitioners, extorting money from them, and putting them through brutal torture. While conducting a brainwashing class one day during the spring festival, 2000, his wife fell and fractured her leg for no apparent reasons. The group secretary Na Wei had also constantly beaten up Dafa practitioners and their family members and destroyed Dafa materials. In June 2001, a boil appeared on his face that did not respond to any treatment. Later, his hand went paralyzed as well for no apparent reasons.
