Practitioners clarified the truth to many families in a local area: Towards the end of November 2001, the wicked people intended to arrest us and send us to brainwashing classes. My wife and I left home and went to our relatives' homes in a rural area, where we visited many families and clarified the truth to them. By directly speaking with people face to face, we clarified the truth, exposed the evil, and validated Dafa to many people. The results were very good, as many people changed their bad impressions toward Dafa to various extents.

A practitioner in Sydney was invited to a Dafa promotion activity during the Christmas celebration. He wrote "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance" in Chinese in the calligraphy performance, then translated into Chinese the names of those people interested and wrote them down. The results were unexpectedly good. Many people asked the meaning of the Chinese characters "Zhen, Shan, Ren" ("Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance") and signed their names in support of stopping the persecution in China.

Today, 117 people published statements solemnly declaring that everything they did under the evil's brutal torture, brainwashing, and strong coercion that did not conform to Dafa is null and void. They will completely oppose everything arranged by the old evil forces and eliminate the evil beings. They will cultivate resolutely, cherish their time, redouble their efforts to make up for the loss they brought to Dafa, and catch up with the Teacher's Fa-rectification process.

The brutal torture in the brainwashing class of Baiguo Township, Macheng City could not shake the righteous belief of Dafa practitioners. Four practitioners went to Tiananmen to appeal for Falun Gong and to validate Dafa. They were arrested and transferred to Baiguo Township Police Station, where they were brutally tortured by the police. The police tortured them by pounding their heads against the wall, beating them, and pouring boiling water on their feet and into their mouths. In the No. 1 Detention Center of Macheng City, the practitioners were forced-fed while they were on hunger strike. Some practitioners were dragged by motorcycles on the ground or hung up in the air and beaten, resulting in many injuries and broken bones.

Practitioners Zhang Shu, Wu Zhouyun, Luo Yiming, and Liu Limo protected Dafa with their righteous words in the district court of Lushan District, Jiujiang City. The judge had to suspend the court. The four practitioners were arrested for making and distributing truth-clarifying materials and especially for putting up speakers and broadcasting the truth of Dafa at many locations including Jiujiang Detention Center.

My father made a comment after watching the murder case made up by "Focal Point Interview" [a TV program broadcast by the Chinese government]: "This program lacks the most basic sense of rationality. This [murderer] must undoubtedly be crazy. Otherwise, why would he claim he would commit a second murder as soon as he is released, right at the time when he's arrested for murder? The editorial department [of this program] is quite an authority within the field; however, it has degenerated to such an extent of stupidity."

Recently a group of travelers were robbed and murdered. A ship with over 200 travelers aboard was robbed by three armed robbers. They took everything from the travelers, locked them up in the hold, and lit a fire, killing all of them. Two hundred lives who feared death perished. "The current Chinese people's philosophy of not standing up in the face of evil in order to preserve self-interest is completely revealed in this boat incident."

How I was tortured at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp (for women): the guards encouraged the criminals to beat the practitioners. I was beaten until I was black and blue all over, and several bundles of my hair were pulled out from their violent tugging and pulling. When they tried to forcefully brainwash me, they did not let me sleep and I was forced to squat, suffer body-folding and kneeling on the ground [Body-folding: standing with two legs straight and close, and bending the head down as far as it will go toward the feet, in front of the knees. The fingers point to the ground and the head is upside down. The victim is forced to keep this position for 17 to 18 hours a day except when eating, sleeping, and using the toilet]. I was thrown outside onto the snow-covered ground for several hours. Also, I was forced to kneel on a washboard [made of hard wood with convex sharp-ended bars on top, used to scrub clothes]. I was shocked with two or three electric batons followed by beatings with a bundle of metal wire. In the end, my body was severely bruised and hard to look at.

What I saw in Masanjia: some female practitioners were shocked with electric batons after they were stripped naked. One practitioner passed out numerous times. When she was given a cup of water, she passed out before she could even drink it. She was beaten until her entire back turned black and blue. Some practitioners were hung up in the dirty restroom, and some were put in solitary confinement. One practitioner was forced into the body-folding position and not allowed to sleep for seven days in a row.

Facts about the persecution against Dafa practitioners in Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province: over 90 practitioners were illegally detained, tortured, and their money extorted from them. The guards from Wanjia Forced Labor Camp broke the ribs of a 63 year-old lady by kicking her. Some practitioners were extorted many times, totaling tens of thousands of Yuan [Chinese currency, the average monthly income of urban areas is about 500 Yuan]. In Babaishang Police Station, Chief Li Baoshan and policemen including Lin Shui beat the old lady and said to her during the beating, "If we beat you to death, we will report that you committed suicide by knocking your head against the wall."

Calling to stop the deceitful behavior of some wicked people posing as Dafa practitioners. For more than a year, Cai Linping (female, in her 40's) and Luo Xuejin (female, 67) from Guangzhou City swindled practitioners out of money many times. They lied to the practitioners, saying that they would use the money for Fa-rectification and told the practitioners not to let others know about it. Their deeds have created very bad effects. We hope that practitioners from Guangzhou will deter the interference and eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts.

Since the beginning of this winter, the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region suffered natural disasters one after another. On Dec 17, 2001, the Yellow River flooded near Wuhai City, affecting more than 4,000 people. The officials' bad deeds have brought disasters to the local people, as unlawful officials and police in the autonomous region have been following Jiang Zemin's regime in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.

Japanese Times reported on Jan 6: "A Japanese Falun Gong follower has said that he was deported from China after protesting Beijing's ban on the group. Sawa said he unfurled a banner that read 'Falun Gong's teachings are good' and shouted the same slogan in Chinese in Tiananmen Square on Tuesday."

Cultivation Stories

On New Year's Day of 2002, my husband and I, with our baby held in my arms, went to Tiananmen Square and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good" from the bottom of our hearts. We were arrested and brutally beaten. A policeman said to me, "If you hadn't brought your kid with you, I would have definitely beaten you to death!" While the policemen were having lunch, I carried my child and walked out of the Tiananmen Police Station with righteous thoughts.

There was something caught in the keyhole. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it out. Since I had nowhere to go, I realized that this was also the interference and persecution from the old evil forces. So I made a prompt decision, inserted the key into the keyhole again and shouted, "Open!" With a bang, the lock was opened at once. My understanding is that Dafa is the omnipotent key that can open the lock that restrains human beings.

Shortly after I started to practice Dafa, my parents strongly opposed it. However, I always had a thought in my heart; that is, I should give Dafa a correct place. Seeing that I was so determined, my parents were moved and became supportive . In the past two years, with my firm belief in Teacher and Dafa, I have been opposing the persecution by Jiang's group and clarifying the truth. I became well known in my hometown for my actions.

A Dafa practitioner in Hawaii: when we were practicing Dafa exercises during New Year's holiday, one of my fellow practitioners pointed out to me that I did not do the third set of exercise quite right. I thought a lot after this. Looking back the past two years that I had gone through in cultivating Dafa, I wept because I felt ashamed of the fact that I did not do very well. I deeply realized that it is so important to elevate myself amidst truth clarification and Hongfa (introducing Dafa to the public).

A Taiwan practitioner's story: At the end of 2000, I witnessed how Mainland Dafa practitioners validated Dafa on Tiananmen Square. Despite the policemen that swarmed to arrest them, they stood up fearlessly to uphold the truth. I made up my mind to do my best to fulfill the responsibility that overseas Dafa practitioners bear when I came back to Taiwan. I will step forward to Hongfa and clarify the truth, and take every step well with the guidance of Teacher.
