1. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Gao Dong on Hunger Strike
for over 70 Days, Life in Danger
Practitioner Gao Dong from Panjin City, Liaoning Province has been on a
hunger strike for over 70 days to oppose the persecution, and his life is in
danger. We call upon all the people with righteous hearts in China and overseas
to offer your help.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Nearly 200 Loudspeakers Broadcast at the
Same Time Before "Falun Dafa Day in Changchun"
Not long ago, some practitioners were arrested for hanging up loudspeakers
broadcasting the stories of Falun Dafa. The newspaper Changchun New Culture defended
the persecution and boasted of a "victory." However, just before Falun
Dafa Day in Changchun, nearly 200 loudspeakers began broadcasting at almost the
same time on the evening of December 21, 2001 in Changchun. According to reports
from practitioners, some loudspeakers remained on for 55 minutes, some 30
minutes. Falun Dafa Radio was thus heard in the residential areas, on the
streets, and outside shopping centers.
Many people learned the truth of Falun Dafa and showed great interest. In
fact, the propaganda in Changchun New Culture was partly responsible for
the people's curiosity and attention.
3. [Jilin Province] Lotus Flowers Greet the New Spring
The new year has come, and everything has been renewed. To celebrate Falun
Dafa Day in Changchun, some practitioners in Jilin Province made lotus flowers
with words such as "Falun Dafa is good" and "Falun Dafa is the
righteous way" and placed them along the streets. The pure and sacred lotus
flowers, along with the red words, green leaves, yellow stamen, and pink petals
glittered with brilliance and brought beauty, benevolence, and harmony to the
people.
4. [Mainland China] Clarifying the Truth with Small Red Flags
There is a shortage of truth-clarifying literature to introduce Falun Dafa in
rural areas. So the practitioners placed small red flags with the words of Falun
Dafa along the roads, in doorways, and in the markets. The farmers said,
"The Falun Gong people are so capable."
They wrote short phrases about the truth of Falun Dafa on one side of the
flag and adhered the truth-clarifying literature to the other side. They stuck
the flags in the haystacks, on the roadsides, and in the grocery stands.
Children hold the flags in their hands and read the words out loud. Farmers saw
the flags at the market and felt that they added a festive atmosphere. The owner
of a grocery stand deliberately placed a flag on his goods, saying it brings
good fortune. The red flags were even on the cars driving to town. The police
were furious upon seeing these flags.
5. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
At around 2 p.m. on December 28, 2001, upon receiving a report, the police in
Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province went to practitioner Wang's home and arrested
her. Another practitioner Cao who was there was also arrested. Wang's home was
then ransacked. The Falun Dafa books, the truth-clarifying literature, and
banners were all confiscated. In the police station, though Wang and Cao were
handcuffed to the "tiger bench" [an instrument of torture, see http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/11/24/16156.html],
they kept on clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa to the police. No matter how
brutally the police treated them, they refused to betray other practitioners or
to write repentance letters. On the morning of December 30, they were
transferred to Daqing Custodial Center. Wang did not pass the physical
examination and was rejected by the custodial center. So she returned home on
that morning and came back into the current of the Fa-rectification. Cao is
still being detained.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] A Young Farmer Persecuted for Clarifying
the Truth
Xu Yande, a young farmer from Changxing Village, Leshan Township, Chaoyang
District of Changchun City, is not a practitioner. However, he was severely
persecuted by the local authorities when he went to Fazhan County subdivision in
Yitong County to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa. He is being detained in Yitong
County. We call upon people from all walks of life to help suffocate and
eliminate the evil.
8. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] The Police Kidnap Practitioners and Ransack
Their Homes
From 11 p.m. on December 28, 2001 to 4 a.m. the next morning, the police of
Wutai County Police Station in Dehui City, Jilin Province illegally ransacked
the homes of practitioners Wang Shuzhen (female), Dong Yunqin (female),
ZhaoYaqin (female), and Jiang Lide. They took a tape-recorder and some cash from
Jiang Lide's home. They arrested Wang Shuzhen, Dong Yunqin, Liu Shugang, and
Zhao Yaqin and transferred Wang Shuzhen and Dong Yunqin to the detention center
in Dehui City.
Deputy Chief Li of the Halaha County Police Station in Dehui City and three
policemen broke into practitioner Zhang's home at 9 a.m. on December 29, 2001.
They confiscated more than 3,000 copies of truth-clarifying literature. Zhang
and his wife have been forced to abandon their home to avoid further
persecution.

9. [Ningxia Autonomous Region] The Word "Denouncement" Couldn't be
Posted
One day in April of 2001, the Baitugangzi Forced Labor Camp in Ningxia
Autonomous Region held a conference denouncing and smearing Falun Dafa in its
courtyard. Soon after the conference began, the word "Denouncement"
fell from the banner.
When a similar conference was held in mid-June, a cloud suddenly blotted out
the sun. Then came a gust out of the calm sky, heading towards the courtyard.
The banner rustled in the wind, and the word "Denouncement" was ripped
off. Two policemen hurried to postit again but it didn't stay. Seeing the
word repeatedly fall off was a strong hint for the people present.
10. [Yilan County] 610 Office Colludes with the Police to Kidnap
Practitioners
During the New Year season, the 610 Office colluded with the public security
bureau and kidnapped 10 practitioners. On the evening of December 28, 2001,
practitioner Xu Xianlian (female) of No. 597 State Farm was cooking at home. The
police called her and deceived her into going to their office. They immediately
sent her to the forced labor camp and sentenced her to two years imprisonment.
11. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Panjin City Forced Labor Camp Illegally
Prolongs the Terms of Detained Dafa Practitioners
Panjin City Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province extends the terms of Dafa
practitioners when their sentences are completed by fabricating charges against
them. For instance, practitioner Xiao Zuojun's term was extended by fifteen
months without any reason or legal process.
Mr. Zhang, from the supervisory liaison office to the prosecutor's office in
the labor camp, did not do anything about the labor camp's illegal practices.
When the police beat practitioners, he did not try to stop this illegal
activity. His responsibility is to supervise the law enforcement in the labor
camp, but all he does is encourage law-breaking actions and inhuman torture!
The practitioners in Panjin City call for people from all walks of life
around the world to condemn the vicious actions in Panjin City Forced Labor Camp
under Jiang Zemin's regime. Some of the practitioners imprisoned in this labor
camp include Ye Ximing, Li Shangang, Jiang Xingwang, Zhen Gongcheng, Xiao Zuojun,
Liu Zhongyi, Liu Yang, Li Shujuan (female), Lv Shuxuan (female), and others.
The perpetrator responsible for the persecution of practitioners in the
Public Security Bureau of Panjin City is Zhou Laixing, Head of Politics and

12. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Pan Yongshu is Illegally Arrested in
Tiananmen Square
Practitioner Pan Yongshu, 33 years old, is a taxi driver well known for his
kindness. He obtained Dafa in December 1997. His sincerity and kindness
developed from cultivating Dafa and the way he handled everyday life impressed
and moved people around him. From him, many people have realized the greatness
of Dafa and now respect Dafa.
Although Pan had been previously imprisoned in Panjin City Forced Labor Camp
for one year for validating the Fa, on October 7, 2001, he went to Beijing to
safeguard the Fa again. On October 8, he held a banner reading
"Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance" in Tiananmen Square and shouted
loudly his feelings towards Dafa. Police arrested him on site and held him in
the Xuanwu District Detention Center in Beijing. During this detention, his
father and wife traveled a long way to visit him; but they were refused entry to
the detention center. He was illegally sentenced to re-education through forced
labor. He is being held in the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing. His current
situation is unknown. His wife and 10-year-old daughter have been left without
any income.
13. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] A Falun Dafa Material-site is Destroyed
On November 23, 2001, police destroyed a place where Falun Dafa materials are
produced in Panjin City, Liaoning Province. Three practitioners were arrested.
One female practitioner successfully broke away from the police because of her
righteous thoughts.
14. [Shenzhen, Guangdong Province] Xu Jiafeng is Kidnapped in Puning City
Around 9 p.m. on November 27, 2001, six plain-clothes policemen arrested
practitioner Xu Jiafeng and his wife in their home in Liusha of Puning City,
Guangdong Province. The six policemen brutally kicked and beat Xu until he lost
consciousness. Police cuffed his hands in front of him and forcefully pulled his
arms out from the sides to increase the amount of pain he felt. His wife got
away from the police with righteous thoughts. The police confiscated their two
cellular phones and a laptop computer.
Peng Jiafeng's current whereabouts are unknown.
15. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] The "610 Office" is Frantically
Arresting Dafa Practitioners
Since December 20, 2001, the "610 Office" in Harbin, Heilongjiang
Province, has gathered together a lot of policemen, assisted by lowlifes from
the streets, to arrest Dafa practitioners over the whole city. They identify
practitioners by means of ambushes, stalking, surveillance, wiretapping, and so
on. Whenever they suspect someone is a core practitioner, they break into his
home to take him away without proper legal procedures and seize his belongings.
Recently, many practitioners have been arrested, and nobody knows their
whereabouts.
According to some information disclosed from the police, the "610
Office" in Harbin has issued an order to arrest 500 practitioners around
the 2002 New Year holiday. To satisfy this quota, police are arresting,
interrogating, torturing, sentencing, and locking up practitioners. Furthermore,
they are doing all of these things secretly. To free space for the newly
arrested practitioners, police are furtively transferring the previously
detained practitioners to labor camps without any legal procedures. Therefore,
their families don't know their whereabouts or even if they are still alive. The
"610" officers and police say, "It can never be overdone, no
matter how severely you persecute Falun Gong practitioners. We can let those
arsonists and murders go, but not practitioners." The "610"
officers of Harbin are truly terrorizing the whole city now.
16. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Luo Li is Arrested
Luo Li, male, 36, had a job in the cafeteria of the Harbin Industrial
University. He was fired, however, in August of 2000 just because he persisted
in practicing Falun Gong. He had to work some part time jobs to raise his
family. It was just after 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, when several
policemen rushed into his home and took him away. A female practitioner visiting
his home was also forcibly arrested. Their whereabouts are unknown.
17. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Police Are Madly Arresting
Practitioners
Recently, police in Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province, have been arresting
practitioners furiously without showing any documentation. In the past two days,
six practitioners have been detained. Among them, Fu Yafang (female), Liu Liping
(female), and Zhang Zhenfu (male) are locked in a temporary detention center,
while Liu Miao (female), Gao Heping (female), and Du Guijie (female) are locked
in the No. 2 Detention Center of the city. So far, about 20 practitioners have
been arrested.
18. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] The Criminal Conduct of the Police at
the Shenbei Police Station
On December 29, 2001, police from the Shenbei Police Station broke into a
resident's home to apprehend two practitioners who had come from other areas to
avoid being illegally arrested. One practitioner was reportedly thrown from the
seventh floor and is now hospitalized in the Shuangshan Hospital. The other has
been detained in the No. 2 Detention Center of Anshan City. Details have yet to
be released.
On December 13, police from the Shenbei Police Station took practitioner Fu
Liang and her daughter away from their home. Fu was tortured nearly to death in
the No. 2 Detention Center of the city. Worried that she could die in the
center, police released her two days ago. Her husband bailed their daughter out
with a lot of money. To avoid being arrested by police from the Shenbei Police
Station, several practitioners in the Shenbei District have been forced to leave
their homes.
19. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] The Criminal Conduct in the
Open-Development District Hospital
Director Li Xuezhong and the Party Secretary Gui Jinfu of the hospital have
been viciously persecuting Dafa practitioners. They frequently slander Dafa and
practitioners in various meetings. They ordered other employees not to talk to
practitioners, and even fired some practitioners without any cause. These
unemployed practitioners and their families are living miserable lives. Li and
Gui have also framed practitioners so that two of them have been arrested and
sentenced to two years of forced labor "education." Another two
practitioners have been forced to leave their homes.
