Expose the Evil in a Compassionate, Pure and Righteous Manner

(Clearwisdom.net) The evil force has been persecuting the Fa and practitioners in an inhuman manner. In response, some practitioners unintentionally started expressing "hatred" when facing and eliminating the evil. However, "hatred" is a manifestation of the vicious side of human sentimentality. Therefore, we need to watch out for it and not allow it to interfere with our efforts to clarify the truth and expose the evil. Otherwise, it will exert a negative influence and undermine the image of the Fa and practitioners, and we will not be able to achieve our goals of compassionately saving people around the world.

When we are trying to save sentient beings, rectify the Fa and eliminate the evil, we need to remove all negative factors from what we think, say and do. Only in this manner can we have the real and purest compassion necessary to be truly responsible for these lives and to save them.

Teacher said, "It is definitely not wrong to explain the facts of our situation to the Chinese government in a peaceful manner. As cultivators, however, we should absolutely not adopt any over-zealous approach or speech. Over the past year, you have clarified the truth and appealed to people in the world and governments with a heart of kindness. You have done this in a quite righteous manner" (From Teacher's article All Dafa Associations). Teacher also said, "Whether we're clarifying the truth, exposing the evil, or participating in other Dafa activities, including our Fa conferences, we should demonstrate Dafa disciples' compassion as well as the goodness that Fa-rectification cultivation brings out" (From Teacher's article To All Students at the Nordic Fa Conference).

We must clarify the truth and expose the evil in a compassionate manner. We need to help the people around the world to see the cruel and hideous nature of the malicious forces. At the same time, we must show our benevolence and pure kindness to all people. This will make a sharp contrast. Specifically, we need to be careful with our manners and actions when we create truth-clarifying materials. We should take our responsibilities to the Fa and to all sentient beings seriously, being cautious even with minor issues. We need to be full of "great aspirations while minding minor details" (From Sage in, Essentials for Further Advancement). Any deficiencies in our actions among ordinary people will enable the evil forces to take advantage of the negativity and to control the thoughts of ordinary people, possibly leaving bad impressions in their minds toward the Fa and/or practitioners. Thus we must seriously take the Fa as the standard for our actions anywhere, at anytime.

I read some truth-clarifying literature in which the paragraphs fully exposed the evil; however, the tone of the sentences displayed an over-zealous attitude. Many strong remarks were used and sometimes the materials included content that would have been more appropriate for sternly warning the malicious people instead of addressing ordinary people. Thus these materials failed to target the right audience.

Fellow practitioners, we all know that we need to completely clarify the truth and genuinely tell all people the universal principle that good is rewarded with good, and evil is met with evil. We can use various methods to do this, including those used by ordinary people. However, we must pay close attention to how we convey these principles, how we convey our ideas, and how we advise people not to do bad deeds. We should not express human "hatred" even when we are solemnly admonishing the extremely bad people. As Fa-rectification disciples, we have in our minds the most upright and best standards bestowed by Dafa, and we should stick to them closely. We must achieve "the state, the compassion, the kindness, the purity, the righteousness, and the great forbearance displayed by Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification period" (From Lecture on the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Conference).

Teacher said, "Actually, a cultivator in the past wouldn't care at all about whatever those everyday people thought: 'Whether you think I'm good or bad is all everyday people's thinking, and it doesn't matter to a cultivator. Who cares how you everyday people are? What I cultivate is myself.' One would depart after reaching Consummation, and couldn't care less about what everyday people do: 'When people have committed sins, they'll have to pay for them; and when they're no longer good enough, let history eliminate them.' That's how it was in the past. The benevolence exhibited by our Dafa disciples today has never been achieved by any beings before in their cultivation. A Dafa disciple--a most extraordinarily benevolent person--is the most remarkable and most benevolent in every environment of human society, and is beneficial to all beings. Isn't this how you should be when you clarify the truth? This is how you're doing it. This is the benevolence of a Dafa cultivator--not some ordinary human activity" (From Master Li Hongzhi's Lecture at the Great Lakes Conference in North America).

I believe that the more compassionate we become, the better results we will have while rectifying the Fa and offering salvation to the people.
