Ayr Advocate (Australia): Falun Dafa Day for Ayr


January 11, 2002 FALUN Dafa Day celebrating Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance will be officially opened tomorrow at Centrepoint Arcade from 10am to 1pm. Spokesman John Dowie said Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) was a traditional Chinese Qigong/meditation to improve mind and body.

"Falun Dafa has helped people worldwide improve their health, purify their minds, and deepen their understanding of life and humanity," Mr Dowie said.

"It has also helped numerous young people and adults turn away from alcohol, drugs, violence and other bad habits to pursue a more meaningful life."

Mr Dowie said Falun Dafa included five sets of exercises that worked on the energy circulation of the body. They could be done easily by any age group.
