After hearing the news that in the last 22 days reports of 20 Falun Gong practitioners being tortured to death were uncovered, practitioners from London and the southeast of England gathered opposite the Chinese Embassy to mourn their deaths. The activities started on Saturday morning.

The Chinese Embassy in London is located very near, only a few minutes walk, from the busy shopping area of Oxford Street. Because it was a Saturday in the New Year period, many people drove from other areas inside and outside of London to go shopping on Oxford Street. When they passed the Chinese embassy, they saw peaceful and serene practitioners either doing exercises or sending forth righteous thoughts.

At the place where we gathered there was a set of traffic lights. Whenever there was a red light, people would open their window asking for Dafa leaflets. Quite often practitioners had to run quickly to deliver leaflets to each driver before the lights changed. There were also people who honked their car horns to show their sympathy and support. A motorcyclist stopped especially to sign the petition form. A man passing by said to a practitioner, "Whatever you are doing I support you although I do not know much about Falun Gong." Many kind people said to us, "Good luck."

Three people who came from China asked for directions from a practitioner. She explained to them with patience and gave them truth clarifying materials. She also told them, "Falun Gong practitioners cultivate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. What you see people doing now are the exercises of Falun Gong." They were all very friendly to her. From their eyes, she saw their desire to know the truth. They listened carefully. She also said to them, "You should read all these materials carefully and you will benefit from it. After you get back to China, you can tell others the truth of Falun Gong and its situation outside China." A big group of Chinese people came out of the embassy while we were doing our sitting exercises. Some of them stopped and watched us.

From time to time, some teenagers who were usually trouble makers came in cars while making noises. After receiving Falun Gong materials some of them quieted down.

The activities will be held on 2 consecutive days.
