Informal Accounts of Clarifying the Truth to Chinese People in an Airport

(Clearwisdom.net) The international airport is an important spot where we expose the evil persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese government and clarify the truth of Falun Gong to Chinese people. We Dafa practitioners overcame various difficulties and have been persistent in clarifying the truth here for one and half years. The following are some stories of this truth-clarifying activity.

A Chinese visitor who was once a policeman

One day there were a lot of tourists and materials were leaving our hands quickly. I noticed a middle-aged man, tall and thin, reading the Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. After half an hour, he came towards me and said, "I have read these articles. You look like an intellectual. Is it useful for you to do this? It's useless."

I replied with a smile, "Sir, it is useful. See, there are over 47 countries all over the world that have come to know and learn Falun Gong and more and more people practice Falun Gong." I showed him the pictures of Dafa practitioners in diverse countries, like pictures of group practice, individual practice, elderly people, children, etc.

He looked at them seriously and said to me, "You know, I was a policeman before. In fact, all country's prisons are similar. Sometimes the prisons in U.S. are very strict with their inmates."

I told him, "What prisons are like does not seem to be what our topic is today. Prisons are supposed to constrain bad people. How could they be used to hold good people who pursue Truth, Compassion, Forbearance? How could they be used to conceal beating and even killing them? If this is the case, then what kind of government is this?"

He said, "Actually you have gotten involved in a political campaign..."

I said, "Sir, as I know, the former committee chair of the National People's Congress, Qiao Shi, was entrusted by the central committee to investigate Falun Gong in detail and then wrote a report on it. The results of his study stated that Falun Gong is completely advantageous without a single disadvantage to the country and people. This report wasn't passed into Jiang's hands. I think the persecution of Falun Gong is decided by Jiang's nature. Jiang is afraid of people and he can't tolerate the rapid growth of Falun Gong, especially since Falun Gong practitioners outnumber the Party membership. We are not interested in politics, but the fact that Falun Gong is completely advantageous without a single disadvantage is completely unarguable."

He said, "What you have done is to meet force with force, which is useless. The Party is very cruel. You see, many of you have been killed by it."

I said, "Sir, if we keep silent, doesn't this mean that we accept the persecution and fabrication done by Jiang's government against Falun Gong? Isn't this equal to giving up Truth, Compassion, Forbearance? Isn't it horrible that the human world has no 'Truth, Compassion, Forbearance' and no moral standard? We stepped out to tell people, especially Chinese people, about the truth of Falun Gong. One of our reasons is to speak out for those practitioners in China who are persecuted, because they are deprived of the right to free speech. The second is to ask people not to casually trust Jiang's government's lies and to let people know that Falun Dafa is good."

He replied, "Then give the materials just to Chinese people. Why do you also give them to Westerners? Do not air your dirty laundry in public. Otherwise the Westerners will look down on our China."

I said, "To give you an example that's not quite exact, if a parent abuses his child, and the child asks for help from the neighbors, how can you say that the child spreads his family scandal outside? If Jiang's government uses the national media machine and runs national terrorism to persecute unarmed and kind people, shouldn't we appeal to the international society for attention and support in order to stop the killing by Jiang's government? Shouldn't we tell people the truth about Falun Gong, or should we just let Jiang's government slander Falun Gong in the international society? If Jiang didn't persecute us, why would I ask people for help?"

He said, "In my opinion, it's fine to make economic progress. You see, the United States is so strong in the world because of it's strong economic strength. Money can make things easy and better to do."

I said. "Sir, please don't ignore the fact that a society without moral standards is terrible. In such a society, money is the root of all crimes. You can think about Mainland China nowadays. Moreover, the US is a lawful country. Here, even if the President himself is wrong, he would be investigated by the law without exception. So the strength of U.S. does not just come from the economy but also the constraints on people's conduct and morality."

He said: "I do find that many high-educated people, those with Masters and PhD Degrees, practice Falun Gong and they are very devoted."

I said, "That is because they all find that Falun Gong is good. Actually, Falun Gong is open to everyone, no matter what social level you are at or whether you are an intellectual or not. This is because the cultivation practice of Falun Gong is mainly the cultivation of the nature of the heart. One begins by first being a good person."

I gave him a copy of The Journey Back to the True Self and a VCD on the truth of Falun Gong and hoped that he would learn more about Falun Gong.

He told me, "I feel very sorry for those Falun Gong practitioners who have died, but it isn't worthwhile."

I said, "If you truly know what Falun Gong is, then you will have a different opinion. I hope you can learn more about why Falun Gong practitioners do such things. In fact, the spreading of Falun Gong is not such a simple incident."

"OK, let me take a look at these materials," he said.

He came to tell me before he left, "I will show these materials to people and help you spread them."

I replied to him with smile, "Thank you!"

This experience made me understand more that breaking Chinese people's distorted notions can give them a better opportunity to learn the truth of Falun Gong.
