1. [Jilin Province] The Forced Labor Education Central Hospital is
Responsible for the Death of Female Practitioner Wang Kofei
About 9 AM on December 20,2001, Wang Kofei, female, a Falun Gong
practitioner, who was emaciated and dying as a result of torture at the Heizuizi
Women's Labor Camp in Jilin Province, was sent to the Forced Labor Education
Central Hospital. While there, in spite of her being unconscious, the hospital
prescribed a cardiogram but did not do any cardio-examination. They also gave
her 9 bottles of 500-milliliter infusion from 9 AM to 6 PM, an average of 500
milliliters infusion per hour. She was not given any medical examination during
the process. After hanging the bottle of infusion, there was no medical person
to watch her, only a female criminal inmate who was affected with epilepsy
changed the bottle of infusion.
In the morning Wang Kofei uttered "Ah, ah..." and then she couldn't
control her urine and bowel movement. During the whole infusion process, both of
her hands were cuffed on the two sides of her bed.
Until 6 PM in the evening, the person in the same room with her, could not
hear any noise from her, and then finally reported her situation to the guard of
the Forced Labor Camp. The guard came and found no reaction in Wang Kofei's
eyes, so the guard moved her to the morgue directly without any emergency
treatment.
2. [Daqing, Heilongjiang Province] Han Lihwa, an Emaciated and Dying Falun
Dafa practitioner Is Ignored by Policemen from Qingxin Police Station
Han Lihwa, female, 52 years old, retired from department six of the Daqing
Oil Drilling Company. She talked to her superior about clarifying the truth
about Falun Gong on September 25, 2001. After she went home that day, Wang Chi,
a policeman from Qingxin Police Station, along with three other policemen,
forcefully took her from her home to the detention center. More than four months
have passed so far, but she is still being held in there. Because of the
extended duration of the detention, her body has become extremely exhausted and
she fainted many times. One policeman in the detention center, out of empathy,
reported her situation to the Qingxin Police Station. He suggested that she
should be sent home to have her condition treated. But the police in the Qingxin
Police Station ignored his suggestion. They just ignored her critical condition
at the verge of death. This is so cruel!

3. [Bin County, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Save
Lives
On November 23, 2001, Xu Guangfa, and a small group of people from Binzhou
Town, Bin County, drove to Harbin City on business. On the way they ran into a
car accident. Xu and three other passengers were injured, two of them severely.
The driver and some villagers tried to flag down a car on the road. Over one and
half hours with several dozens of cars passing by, including police cars and
government official cars, but none of them stopped. Standing in chilly wind,
they felt a growing sense of despair. Then a minivan stopped in front of them.
Three people got out of the car and carried the injured to the van. They drove
them directly to the hospital. Xu and others were so moved that they did not
know what to say. They tried to give those kind people some money to express
their gratitude, but it was refused. The people in the van said, "We are
Falun Gong practitioners. Saving lives and helping others are what we should do.
We can't take one cent from you." Then they got back in the van and drove
away.
This incident had a great impact among people. People are saying things like,
"Those Party and government officials as well as the police did not stop to
help dying people. Instead they are persecuting Falun Gong practitioners who are
saving lives. Who is righteous and who is evil?"
4. [China] Falun Gong Practitioners Send Forth Righteous Thoughts to
Eliminate Evil Near Detention Centers and Police Stations
The guards in a detention center in a certain city brutally tortured Falun
Gong practitioners. Upon hearing this, on December 23, 2001, practitioners went
to several areas of the detention centers and police stations to eliminate the
evil. They were in groups of two or three people. Some recited the
Fa-rectification verse while walking, and others while sitting, but it was all
to specifically eliminate the evil there. They powerfully eliminated the evil
with great benevolence in their hearts.
5. [Tonghua County, Jilin Province] The Recent Terror Activity of the
"610" Office
Before New Year 2002, the evil brutally persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners
in Tonghua County. Nineteen practitioners were illegally detained and one
practitioner was forced to become homeless in order to avoid arrest. Directed by
the "610" Office, many police officers intruded practitioners' homes
and illegally confiscated their property. They took practitioners to detention
centers when they found any Falun Dafa material in their homes. They also
arrested everyone who stated that they practiced Falun Gong. Those practitioners
who were arrested have been on a hunger strike for more than ten days in the
detention center in protest of the persecution.
6. [Jiangxi Province] Female Falun Dafa Practitioner Jiang Lanying Still
Detained After an Extension to Her Sentence
Jiang went to Beijing in 1999 and was illegally sentenced to one year in a
forced labor camp. She did not cooperate with the evil and has been detained
continually even after finishing her sentence. In order to hide her illegal
detention, Jiangxi Female Labor Camp did not release her, instead, the police
transferred her to another detention center in November 2001. When interrogated
by the police, she clearly stated that she would persist in her practice of
Falun Gong. They then sentenced her to three years in a labor camp and sent her
to Nanchang City Forced Labor Camp.
Other practitioners who are in the same situation include, Liang Meihua
(female), Shu Juan (female), etc. who have been released from provincial labor
camps only to be sent to a city labor camp or detention center.
7. [Guangzhou, Guangdong Province] The Police Arrest Falun Gong Practitioners
On December 10, 2001, eight to nine police officers, both in uniform and in
plainclothes, invaded the homes of Guangzhuo practitioners Zhou Danyu and Chen
Yongtao. They confiscated their property and illegally arrested them without
informing any of their family members. They then broke into Zhou's parents'
house. They seized and took a photo of Zhou's mother and searched everything in
the house. It is said that they came from the Guangzhou National Security
Department. Zhou and Chen are still being held in a detention center.
In December 2001, because dictator Jiang went to Macao for the celebration of
"First Anniversary Homecoming" of Macao, the National Security
Department has illegally detained a large number of practitioners. Zhou has been
illegally detained for more than 20 days.
8. [Taihe County, Anhui Province] Practitioner Pei Guoqi Is Illegally
Detained at the Taihe Detention Center
Five practitioners including Pei Guoqi and Gao Hewu were arrested around the
same time.
Pei is a railroad worker on the Huainan railroad. Since July 20, 1999, he
went to Beijing many times to clarify the truth and appeal for Falun Dafa and
has been closely monitored by his work unit. After being arrested, he did not
cooperate with the evil's request to give other practitioners' information away
and was brutally beaten by the police.
A local Falun Dafa practitioner was arrested by the Taihe "610"
Office when he went to visit Pei.
9. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] All Evil Pictures Disappear
The Hefei government displayed some pictures slandering Falun Dafa in their
show windows. Upon hearing this, in the morning of January 5, 2002, more than 10
Falun Dafa practitioners went there to eliminate the evil. They firmly sent
forth righteous thoughts and posted banners on the display window with words
eliminating the evil. One hour later, all the evil pictures completely
disappeared.
10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Zheng Xiaoqi Is Kidnapped
Around New Year's Day 2002, the police illegally searched the houses of many
Falun Dafa practitioners and they arrested many of them. In the evening of
December 28, 2001, two local police and four residential office personnel at
Xuzhou Second Village, which belongs to the Xincunjie Local Police Station in
Jiangan District, invaded Zheng's home and demanded to search the premises.
Zheng firmly refused, so they could not proceed with their illegal action.
However, the next afternoon, another group of police from the local station
broke into his house. They forcefully searched the house and took Zheng away.
They left the house in a mess.

12. [Lanzhou, Gansu Province] Middle School Female Teacher Suffers
Persecution
Wei Zhouxiang, female, about 30 years old, a political science teacher of the
Eighth Middle School in Lanzhou City, graduated from the Northwest Teachers
College. Because she firmly believed in "Truthfulness, Compassion and
Forbearance" and refused to give in to the vicious force of the
persecution, she was deprived of her right to lecture and was treated with much
injustice. Last December, police colluded with some individuals from her school
and arrested her illegally. Accordingly to a reliable source, she has been
sentenced to one and half years in a forced labor camp and has been imprisoned
in the Pingantai Forced Labor Camp in Lanzhou.
13. [Chongqing, Sichuan Province] County Government Persecutes Dafa
Practitioners in Mental Hospitals
In the year 2000, Dafa practitioner Wu Hongmei (female) has been locked up
twice in the mental ward of the Beipei Coal Mining Rehabilitation Center of
Chongqing City, Sichuan Province. She has experienced severe persecution there.
In the center, there was already a Dafa practitioner whose body was very swollen
from torture, and she had a confused mind. The person in-charge threatened Wu:
"If you do not reform [give up practicing Falun Gong], we will treat
you like a mental patient and make you insane. We will then announce in the
newspaper that your mental breakdown was caused by Falun Gong." However,
their plot was not successful. They then sent Wu to Chongqing Women Forced Labor
Camp for further persecution. On December 18, 2001, without informing Wu
Hongmei's family, she was forcibly sent to the Xie Machang Mental Hospital in
the Beipei Section by a Longfeng County Government official and by police. She
has still not yet been released.
Before this incident, Dafa practitioner, Zhou Chengyu's death was caused by
forced medication in the Chongqing Forced Labor Camp.
We would ask all Human Rights organizations around the world to call on the
Chinese government to stop the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.
14. [Chongqing, Sichuan Province] The Inside Story of Brainwashing in
Xishanping Forced Labor Camp
The Xishanping Forced Labor Camp has been specially assigned the task of
illegally detaining Faun Gong practitioners. The instructors and policemen are
awarded 500 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese
urban worker is about 500 Yuan] for converting a Falun Gong practitioner in
renouncing his belief. They will also be awarded with recommendations and
promotions. Therefore, the vicious persecutors have been racking their brains to
find more effective brainwashing methods.
Dafa practitioner Chen Defu, a retired worker, was kidnapped and taken to the
Forced Labor Camp and brutally beaten until he was unconscious. They beat him
again when he regained his consciousness. The police claimed that he would stop
beating him if Chen wrote the 3 letters [Translator note: Transformation
letter, guarantee letter, and repentance letter].
Yuan Yugang, Liu Minghua, Liu Xiangtai, Wu Deqiang, Mei Guang were sent to
the Fifth Team of Brigade Two and were under the guard of policemen Li Yong
and Gao Kon. The two have ordered the criminal inmates from the same ward to
brutally beat the five practitioners many times. They stopped the practitioners
from sleeping and tried to force them to slander Teacher. They ceaselessly beat
the practitioners and claimed that they would stop hitting them if they would
write and sign the three letters.
Liu Xiangtai immediately went to Beijing to appeal after he was released from
the Forced Labor Camp in July. It was said that he was sentenced again. Liu
Minghua has demanded that the education center give him back the 3 letters that
he wrote but he was refused.
15. [Chongqing] The 610 Office of Jiangjin City Used Brainwashing Classes to
Detain Dafa Practitioners
The 610 Office of Jiangjin City in Chongqing has taken the released Dafa
practitioners from Chongqing Women Forced Labor Camp, Chongqing Xishanping
Forced Labor Camp, Jiangjin City Custodial Center and Detention Center to local
brainwashing classes by police car; they were Li Jiming, Tang Benlan (female),
Wen Qinghua, Xie Xingling (female), Kang Yi, Kuang Xinrong, Zhou Zequn, Dong
Shaogtai and others. Police guard the practitioners.
Every practitioner has a so called "helper" watching over him 24
hours a day. The 610 office terrorists have blackmailed and deceived Dafa
Practitioners' families into paying a fee totaling 60 Yuan a day: 20 Yuan each
for the living cost for practitioner, the living cost for the
"helper", and salary for the "helper".
The condition to be released from the brainwashing class is to sign the
'Guarantee Letter' [of giving up practicing Falun Gong].
Until now, Kuang Xinrong and Kang Yi have already been detained 76 days. Dong
Shaotai was detained 16 days, 60 days for Wen Qinghua and 17 days for Zhou
Zequn.
Dafa practitioner Wang Xianjun, a retired worker from Chongqing
Telecommunication Office, disappeared on December 24 when he took his grandchild
to school. A few days before his disappearance, the director summoned him to a
conversation where he did not compromise.
Wang Wanxin, a retired employee of the Shaqu Electricity Factory, was
illegally held in the brainwashing class set up by Chongqing City. On his
birthday December 23, his family went to visit him but they were not allowed to
see him. More than ten Dafa practitioners from different places were detained
and subject to forcible brainwashing. The practitioners were not allowed to step
outside the room; eating, drinking, defecating and urinating were all done in
the same room. Three "helpers" watched the practitioners day and
night. The practitioners were not allowed to communicate with each other and
were forced to watch slanderous TV programs, and read slanderous books. Further, no
visits from family members were allowed.
16. [Heilongjiang Province]"857" Farm Illegally Detains 11 Dafa
Practitioners
At the end of 2001, while families were expecting a happy new year, Liang
Junlin, the head of the"857" Farm Public Security Bureau, once again
ordered police to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. Without any warrant, police
arrested 11 Dafa practitioners. The arrested practitioners were: Peng Jinyu, Sun
Fengsong, Dong Renlan (female), Gao Yuan, Zhang Hongjiang, Jia Yulong, Huang
Lingzhi (female), Fu Lianhua, Zhu Yongshan, Zou Huailan (female), Chang Yan
(female). Police also illegally searched the home of Zou Huailan and Chang Yan.
17. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] The Criminal Record of the Officials
in the Public Security Bureau
On the evening of January 3, 2002, Meng and Du from Mishan city's Public
Security Bureau along with their henchmen went and searched the home of Dafa
practitioners Xue Yanrong (husband) and Chi Chunxia (wife). Having found
nothing, the police brought the couple and their two-year old baby to the Bureau
and interrogated them the same night.
Having no way out, Chi Chunxia jumped from the fourth floor and after
falling, fainted on the second floor balcony. Police found her but showed her no
mercy or attention. Not until the afternoon of January 4 was she sent to a
hospital. Her feet, hands and face were all frostbitten, her skull was
fractured, and her throat was cut to feed oxygen. All the medical expenses were
charged to her family. The two-year old baby was left to Xue's brother and
sister-in-law while he is still being detained.

18. [Shanghai City] Dafa Practitioners Are Illegally Sentenced to Long Term
Jail
Dafa practitioners in Shanghai City, Guo Lianqing (who obtained Dafa two
months ago), Gu Baoqun and Yu Peiying were illegally sentenced to 8 years, 6
years in jail, and 2 year of forced labor respectively, for distributing Falun
Gong materials. During the Shanghai APEC conference [Translator's note:
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation held October 15-21, 2001], police in
Shanghai arrested and sent a lot of Dafa practitioners to forced labor camps.
Being betrayed, Dafa practitioner Wu Liang was arrested late in the evening
of September 23, 2001 by police, and his home was confiscated. Wu Liang was
sentenced to two and half years of forced labor after having been detained for
one month. He is now being held in Dafeng, Jiangsu Province.
19. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Police Rob a Dafa Practitioner's
Home
On January 10, 2002, Chen Zhaofu and his son Chen Shouqing reported Dafa
practitioners to police. About five policemen from the Changhong police station
climbed over a wall and stole into Dafa practitioner Li Fenghua's (female) home.
They arrested Li Fenghua, Li Yanjie (female), Li Xianglan (female), Lan Jizhi
(female), Feng Xiujuan (female) and Duan Yifa who were binding Dafa materials.
At the same time, police confiscated a lot of Dafa books, materials and a bunch
of keys. Police also searched the neighbor's home, and they made a lot of noise
while searching, yelling foul words. Before this, Li Fenghua's husband and their
first daughter were forced to leave home for about one year to avoid being
arrested, simply because they are Dafa practitioners. Now only her younger
daughter (age 14) is at home, and the house is being monitored.
This event was reported very distortedly in the "Sanjiang Evening
Paper" by the journalist Su Bo and the editor Zhangyang and Qiuying.
