Clarifying the Truth at the Moscow 2002 New Century Health Expo

Russian Dafa Practitioners

From January 6 to 13, 2002, the city of Moscow held the 2002 New Century Health Expo in a downtown art museum. Our Falun Dafa booth was the one nearest to the stage. Moscow Dafa practitioners actively participated in the event, overcoming difficulties like busy schedules and work. They came in shifts to man the booth for the entire expo. Many of the practitioners came to the museum after work to hand out Dafa literature. Within eight days, over 7000 Dafa flyers and newspapers were distributed. Two Falun Gong exercise demonstrations were held on stage and one Falun Dafa introductory workshop was held in the museum hall. Many people came to our booth to inquire about the practice sites and Dafa books.

Clarifying the Truth at Every Opportunity

The many people that came to our booth were introduced to Dafa and informed about the persecution in China. Two posters were set up in front of the booth. One showed photos of Dafa's spreading, group practice and awards received from many governments from 1992 to July 20, 1999. The other poster showed photos of the Jiang regime's brutal suppression of Falun Gong practitioners after July 20, 1999. The sharp contrast and solid facts impressed each visitor. Each of the two exercise demonstrations lasted 20 minutes. The practitioners first took the opportunity to introduce Dafa and clarify the truth to the audience, and then seven practitioners gave an exercise demonstration. People could not imagine why Jiang's regime suppressed such a good practice.

Awakening Predestined People at the Introductory Workshop

The practitioners held a one-hour Falun Dafa introductory workshop in the hall of the museum. A representative from a human rights organization and the organizer of the expo attended the workshop. The practitioners showed a video of Dafa spreading worldwide and the suppression of Falun Gong in China. Then the practitioners talked about Falun Gong's spreading in Russia and narrated their own cultivation experiences. In China, hundreds of thousands of practitioners are determined and striving for their rights to study Dafa and to practice. They are risking their lives under the brutal suppression. In Russia, people have freedom of belief. We wish that all predestined people would come to know Dafa and practice. After the workshop, many stepped forward to inquire about the practice sites and ask for Dafa books.

Story of a 10-year-old Practitioner named Sonia

Sonia is 10 years old and has practiced for two years. While in school or on vacation, she never missed group practice or Fa study. She participated in studying the Fa with senior practitioners and each Fa-rectification activity in Moscow. As this expo lasted 8 days and the majority of the practitioners had to work, Sonia said, "I am on vacation now. I can go to the expo and be on duty." She kept her word by going to the expo. She went every day and stayed for over 10 hours from morning to evening. She brought snacks and water with her in case she got hungry or thirsty. She handed out truth-clarifying materials pleasantly to each person passing by the booth. People were pleased to accept the materials when seeing such a lovely young person. On Saturday, she participated in the exercise demonstration with other practitioners. She wore a yellow sport suit and white socks. When she demonstrated the fifth set of exercises, many photographers started taking photos of this young and beautiful Dafa practitioner.
