Tong Guijie (male), Dafa practitioner from Baicheng City, Jilin Province was arrested by the Baicheng City Police Department as he was hanging up Dafa banners on the evening of December 11, 2001. In jail, he refused to cooperate with the evil and therefore went on a hunger strike for 17 days. He had been imprisoned twice before but had not been sent to do forced-labor because he was diagnosed with heart disease. Tong passed away while being transferred from Baicheng to Changchun on December 28.
