Clarifying the Truth at a Talent Show

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 19, a Taiwanese Buddhist group organized a Talent Show at a Youth Hall in Frankfurt, Germany. More then one hundred people from Taiwan and China came to see the show. Four practitioners from Frankfurt and Heidelberg also attended. We found a table near the entrance displaying pamphlets for passersby to pick up. We talked with the woman who was in charge of the show about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and as a result we were permitted to put our truth-clarifying brochures on the table. While I was setting out the brochures, I heard her say to the audience from the stage, "There are free materials about the truth of Falun Gong on the table at the entrance. Anyone who is interested, please feel free to take one."

Before I had everything ready, three young men from mainland China came to ask me, "Is this Falun Gong?" After getting a positive answer, each of them took a brochure. I told them about our CD on Falun Gong. One of them said he had already seen it on the Minghui and Zhengjian websites. Another one asked me if Falun Gong would adopt violence to fight back as did the Balianjiao group [Balianjiao was a religion in China's history which used violence to fight against the ruler]. I told him that we have no political agenda and that Falun Gong is a totally nonviolent cultivation system. We have never behaved violently, despite two and a half years of extremely cruel persecution and suppression. What kind of situation could possibly drive us to be violent?" He thought about my words, and said, "I don't think that you would use violence."

Throughout the show, people came and picked up our materials and asked for the location of our practice site. A woman from Taiwan had never heard of Falun Gong, refusing to take materials we offered, but her young daughter (almost three years old) immediately picked up our truth-clarifying CD from the table and ran off delightedly. Maybe the child knew better than her mother how valuable the CD was. The editor-in-chief of a highly circulated Chinese newspaper in Germany stopped by and talked with us. Practitioners had bought four-page ads in his newspaper every week to clarify the truth of Falun Gong for a long time. Lots of Chinese people in Germany learned the truth of Falun Gong from this newspaper. The editor was very supportive of us and encouraged us several times to keep going.

Recently when we distributed Falun Gong materials to the Chinese people on the street, we felt strongly that the elements that had blocked them from knowing the truth were gone and people were no longer indifferent. They wanted to listen, to discuss and were happy to learn the truth. Many thanked me sincerely. The change, I think, is due to the elimination of the evil forces in other dimensions that were blocking people from knowing the truth. Two and a half years of hard work by Dafa practitioners promoting the Fa, directly and indirectly, to the Chinese people has helped them change their wrong notions. As practitioners in the Fa rectification period, we will work harder to clarify the truth to people, save people and not disappoint our benevolent teacher.
