Defying Detention, A Practitioner With a Pure Heart Walks Out of a Brainwashing Class

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 7, 2002, after a fifty-three day battle between good and evil, Dafa practitioner Mr. Deng Yunlu walked out of a brainwashing class.

Mr. Deng Yunlu is a farmer who had only three years of formal education. He believed that the reason for him passing through his hardship lies in the fact that he had a pure heart. He didn't think about how long he was going to stay in the brainwashing class, nor did he think about when he could simply get up and walk out. "I would be very calm even when I was in a very tight spot," said Mr. Deng. When the tribulation came he figured, "I will not leave any word, or any trace at this level. I will pass this test. I definitely will pass this test and I can then reach my destination." With such strong and pure thoughts, he naturally did pass the test. In the section of Zhuan Falun entitled "A Clear and Clean Mind", Master said, "If you want to improve yourself, you should search your inner self and work hard on your heart--only then can you truly ascend and achieve tranquility in the sitting meditation. The ability to achieve tranquility is gong, and the depth of ding indicates one's level."

Even under such cruel persecution, Mr. Deng's righteous belief and understanding remained as strong as a rock. He didn't leave a single word or fingerprint that could be used to aid in the persecution. When confronted by the perpetrators, they suddenly experienced a headache, feelings of illness or confusion, or allowed Deng to clarify the truth to them instead of brainwashing him. He asked to speak in person with someone in charge. The official indeed visited him and Mr. Deng cautioned him not to attack Dafa. The official respectfully obeyed the request.

In the past it had been difficult to obtain Master's new articles anytime soon after their publication due to the oppressive environment. Remarkably, however, Deng read Master's new article "Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A." on January 6, 2002, just one week after the December 29 conference. The guards had given the article to him!

He was illegally arrested by officials from the "610 Office" on December 24, 2000 of the lunar calendar, a day called the "Minor New Year." [The "610 Office" is an agency created specifically to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute powers over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] It is now almost a year since he was incarcerated, during which time he held a thirty-day hunger strike and was deprived of sleep for seven consecutive days while illegally detained at Jinqiao Police Station. It would make a very long story to describe all the ways that were used to torture him. With his righteous thoughts, he eventually walked with dignity out of that place of demons.

Master said, "Indestructible righteous thoughts towards the cosmos' truth form benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Vajra Bodies; they frighten all evil, and the light of Truth they emanate makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is." (Master's comment on a practitioner's article, "Also in a Few Words" ) Mr. Deng Yunlu is one of many such disciples with unwavering, righteous thoughts toward Dafa.
