Falun Dafa Practitioner Huang Zhiyi from Gansu Province Is Tortured to Death

Huang Zhiyi, a 60 year-old male, was a retired employee of Northwest Aluminum Factory (originally known as State-run No. 113 Factory, located in Longxi County, Gansu Province). Huang was illegally detained in the detention center after he made an appeal for Falun Gong in Beijing. He was also tortured in brainwashing class. To make matters worse, Huang was constantly harassed and threatened by the police after he was already released from the detention center. The police demanded Huang give them information of his daughter's whereabouts. If he did not cooperate, the police threatened to imprison his wife instead. (Mr. Huang's daughter and wife are also Falun Gong practitioners. His daughter has been forced to leave home to avoid further persecution). Huang had become very healthy from practicing Falun Gong. However, his heart disease reoccurred due to torture, harassment and persecution by the police. Huang suddenly died on January 19^th, 2002.

Huang Zhiyi obtained Falun Dafa in 1998. It was a miraculous incident. Huang obtained the Fa through his wife by assisting her to read Zhuan Falun. She does not read well. After she read through Zhuan Falun once in 15 days, Huang experienced a miraculous recovery of his health. He had had serious heart disease and underwent major surgery in 1992. One of his incisions from the surgery never healed in 6 years. He was in great pain. But now this wound healed after 15 days! He was so shocked. He told everyone, "Falun Gong is good, and what Teacher Li taught in Zhuan Falun is true!" Since then, he stepped on the path of cultivation with his wife.

In December 2000, Huang Zhiyi and his wife went to Beijing to validate Dafa. In the Beijing Detention Center, he told the police that Dafa is an extraordinary science. He unbuttoned his shirt and showed them the foot long scar on his chest to prove his point. He said that the government had made a mistake in persecuting Falun Dafa. The police were moved. They said, "Sir, we also know that Falun Dafa is good. But someone in the Central government has ulterior motives. He really wants to persecute people through this movement." The next day, Huang walked out the Detention Center in a dignified manner.

After Huang Zhiyi returned home from Beijing, the factory security section and the local police forced him to attend the brainwashing class. In the brainwashing class, Huang upheld the truth and defended Falun Gong. He said, "Teacher Li taught us to be good citizens. Falun Dafa is good, this is absolutely no mistake!" The evil gang saw that Huang was so firm in Dafa, so they sent him to the detention center for a long period of time. They were planning to send him to the labor camp as well. Huang could not study the Fa or do Dafa exercises while he was in the detention center. Due to the physical and mental torture, Huang's health deteriorated quickly.

In May 2001, the police released Huang because they did not want to be held responsible in case he died in the detention center. However, they constantly harassed and threatened Huang with regards to his daughter's whereabouts. They even searched his home after midnight. They shouted at him, "Give your daughter to us now, or else we will take her mother instead. They are both Falun Gong (practitioners)!"

Huang Zhiyi could not take these cruel tortures with his weak condition. Thus he died with injustice on the morning of January 19, 2002.

Jiang is responsible for the death of yet another innocent person.
