"Xiong Wei Urgent Rescue Team" Reaches Out for the Release of Former Student of the Berlin Technical University

(Clearwisdom.net) Our fellow practitioner, friend, and colleague, Xiong Wei, was arrested in Beijing for practicing "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance" and was sent to the Qinghe Detention Center for brainwashing. The police ransacked her house in Beijing, and arrested her husband, who is also a practitioner. They ransacked her parents' house, causing both of her parents to have heart attacks because they were so frightened. When we learned what happened to our friend, we were extremely shocked and concerned. We voluntarily established a "Xiong Wei Rescue Team" and reached out to people for Xiong's safety.

We applied for permission to hold urgent rescue activities immediately in our school's cafeteria. We applied for space to practice, collect signatures, hand out materials, display Dafa posters, hang banners and play videos, etc. Our application was immediately approved.

The rescue activities start around 10 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. every day, which coincides with the hours for lunch. Many students and instructors walk by the rescue activities' stage. Most of them have heard about the Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong. When they heard that their colleague was arrested simply because she believes in "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance," they too felt shocked and angered. They signed the petitions that are addressed to "Beijing Police Department, Beijing City Haidian District Police Department, and Beijing Haidian Qinghe Detention Center." The petitions request that the Chinese government release Xiong Wei and all practitioners who have been detained. The students have also signed the petition letter addressed to the principal of the Berlin Technical University, appealing to the principal to help rescue former student, Xiong Wei. The principal is going to meet with us next week.

Many Chinese students walk by the rescue stage every day. They are eager to receive the Chinese truth-clarifying materials and CDs. Chinese students, who are concerned with Falun Gong issues, voluntarily come to our stage and talk to us. They sincerely hope to learn the truth and to understand Falun Gong. When they come to understand that practitioners all strive to protect and realize "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" in our daily lives, they become genuinely respectful. The compassion and the righteous thoughts in their hearts are growing strong.
