New Jersey practitioners held a New Year party especially for their families and friends to thank them for their support of Falun Gong over the past year and to celebrate New Year together.

The party was held in a restaurant owned by two practitioners. In addition to delicious food prepared by practitioners, practitioners also offered various forms of entertainments for everyone. Practitioners recited poems and sang songs composed by practitioners. They also demonstrated Dafa exercises and told people about the changes Dafa has brought to them.

One female practitioner said in her speech that since she started practicing Falun Gong, her asthma that had tormented her for many years was cured. She also conducted herself according to the standards of Dafa practitioners to improve her xinxing. She was no longer bossy at home and instead tried to be a good wife and good mother. Her family felt the power of Dafa through the changes in her. Her husband thanked Falun Gong for bringing peace and harmony to his family. Additionally he expressed that he is going to do his best to support Falun Gong.

After the New Year party, practitioners realize that we should not only spread Dafa and clarify the truth to others but also should try to help with the relationship among family members and be considerate to our own families. Our families may also have a predestined relationship with Dafa like us. Sometimes a sincere thanks and an unselfish act will have unexpected results. Under any circumstances, "we should demonstrate Dafa disciples' compassion as well as the goodness that Fa-rectification cultivation brings out." (To All Students at the Nordic Fa Conference)
