One criminal inmate in a detention center could not find her belongings. The group leader replied, "Look for it among yourselves. Falun Gong practitioners are all good people and they won't [steal] like you." The leader also severely warned, "I will punish whoever dares to bully Falun Gong."

One inmate used to beat Dafa practitioners with a bamboo stick. One evening, she saw that there was one lotus flower seat [Note: it has been described in ancient writings and religious texts that Buddha's sit on a lotus flower seat] and on every practitioner's body and there stood one Buddha on the lotus flower. After that she dared not to beat practitioners any more and said, "I believe you now and I won't do bad things any more from now on!"

One female inmate who was recently imprisoned became despondent and wanted to commit suicide. Dafa practitioners convinced her to respect her life by patiently and kindly explaining to her the principles of Falun Dafa. One day she shouted three times, "Falun Dafa is good." She was not punished, but instead released several days later.

One old man jumped committed suicide by jumping off of a building. Policemen wanted to use this case to frame Falun Gong according to orders received from higher authorities. Residents all said, "For so many years, anyone knows that he never practiced Falun Gong. If he had practiced Falun Gong, he wouldn't have committed suicide. You policemen nowadays feel free to shamelessly tell lies and to cheat people. Your face will not even blush when you tell lies."
