Police Department of Fuyu County, Jilin Province Confesses: "It is hard to catch bad guys, but catching Falun Gong practitioners is easy."

The "severe control period" is a time when the government heightens law enforcement and gives out harsher punishments to criminals. In order to meet quotas handed down from their superiors during the "severe control period," the Police Department of Fuyu County, Jilin Province used various methods to arrest Falun Dafa disciples. Bureau personnel confessed that, "It's too hard to catch criminals, but easy to arrest you [Falun Gong practitioners] in order to meet the numbers."

Recently, there have been many Falun Dafa practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal and were arrested. A policeman named Wang from Caijiagou Police Station extorted 2000 Yuan RMB (average monthly pay of an urban worker is 500 Yuan RMB) from Falun Gong practitioners in Beijing. The police from the political security section of the Police Department and Xincheng Bureau Police Station abducted Falun Dafa practitioners from their homes for no reason. A policeman named Liu from the Shiqiao Police Station illegally arrested two Falun Dafa practitioners while they were clarifying the truth to people. The Director of the Police Department Du Jizeng,Yu Xiangbin, and the head of Political Security Section, Xu Shuxian, beat and cursed at Falun Dafa practitioners. They also pulled their hair. One Falun Dafa practitioner lost consciousness while being beaten. They still would not release her, but dragged her to the detention center. Her clothes became torn. Three other Falun Dafa practitioners were abducted on the train from Baicheng to Songyuan.

The staff members of the Fuyu County Detention Center are very misguided. They constantly slander our Master and Falun Dafa. They also beat Dafa disciples. They also use fabricated photos to trick criminal prisoners into harming Dafa disciples.

At present, there are still 16-17 Falun Dafa practitioners illegally detained in the Fuyu County Detention Center. Some have had their detentions illegally extended for more than three months and some have gone through many hunger strikes. The authorities would force-feed them and not let them go home. Now these practitioners are all on a group hunger strike to protest the illegal detention and persecution.

The Political Security Section of Fuyu County takes advantage of compassionate Falun Dafa practitioners to extort money. Ever since July 22, 1999, each Falun Dafa practitioner who goes to Beijing to appeal is fined 5000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average city worker's monthly salary. Money is taken from practitioners and no receipt is given thus creating a financial incentive for police to arrest practitioners.] Whenever they arrest a Falun Dafa disciple, they would say that, "money is coming again".

In order to safeguard the universal truth, suffocate the evil, and not allow the evil to continue its rampant campaign, let us all send forth righteous thoughts together. Eliminate the arrangements of the evil old forces and unconditionally release all of the Falun Gong practitioners.
