Organizers of Changchun Falun Dafa Day The evil force is rampant in Changchun, so we suggest that practitioners
clarify the truth "person to person and heart to heart." There are
many practitioners in the Changchun area and the city's citizens have a basic
understanding of the truth of Falun Dafa. New Year's Day and the Lunar Spring
Festival will soon be here. We should utilize such good opportunities to clarify
the truth to people; our efforts can create a high tide in clarifying the truth
and leave no way for the evil to damage Dafa. Some practitioners pay special attention to the vigorousness of outdoor
activities. In fact, the effect of promoting Dafa is more important than its
form. You can adjust the form according to different times and various
situations. We stress touching people's hearts. We aren't attached to any
outside form. The recent Changchun Falun Dafa Day promoted a high tide of
"people telling people." Such activities promote Dafa and leave no way
for the evil to strike back. The entire event was so easily accomplished that in
the future many more practitioners could easily take part. This, in turn, would

Child Zhang, the Jiuquan City Secretary of Politics and Law plans the persecution
of local practitioners. A practitioner from the Commercial Bureau was forced
into a brainwashing class because he refused to slander Falun Dafa or write a
guarantee statement promising to give up Falun Gong. The practitioner is firm in
Dafa. With great compassion he clarified the truth to them and unveiled the
evil. The corrupt officials claim that if he doesn't give up Falun Gong they
will take action with his child (an elementary student). We appeal to all
kind-hearted people to pay attention to this matter. 3. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Practitioner Zhang Yuxia Is on a Hunger
Strike to Protest Persecution - Her Life Is In Danger Practitioner Zhang Yuxia, female, had been a police officer of the Second
Forced Labor Camp of Gansu province. After July 20, 1999, she went to Beijing to
appeal three times. She was illegally sentenced to one year in a labor camp and
was jailed in Pinantai Forced Labor Camp of Lanzhou city. While in the camp, she
didn't cooperate with the evil. Instead, she started a new cultivation
environment. Her righteous mind and righteous actions inspired fellow
practitioners and threatened the evil. She was released in May 2001. She was
laid off by the company that employed her. She withstood all kinds of pressure
from various aspects and unremittingly worked for Dafa. At the end of October
2001 she was kidnapped again. She went on a hunger strike to protest. In
Dashapin Labor Hospital she was fed by force. Recently she was sent back to Xiguoyuan Detention Center. She was jailed in
cell 8 of team 14. Because she went on a hunger strike and was tortured for a
long time, her life is in danger. 4. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Cruel Police Persecute Practitioners More
Intensely To date, Cong Fulan and Zhou Yuyan's appeals have been refused without
reason. Their original sentences remain. In November 2001 local police arrested many practitioners. Over 30
practitioners were taken into custody. Practitioner Liang Shuchun was beaten
brutally at the Hedong Police Station. His right thigh was extremely swollen and
his body was black and blue. He couldn't walk for several days. A guard and some
criminals in the detention center remarked that police are incredibly brutal.
Practitioner Zhou Ping had black eyes and a swollen nose from the beatings. People are awakening. Recently all over Benxi city, people were talking to
practitioners about the persecution. An old lady was sentenced to 8 years just
because she practices Falun Gong. All of her relatives, colleagues, and friends
feel that the sentence is unfair. What kind of law is this when good people who
practice "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" are treated worse than
criminals? People are beginning to be clear-headed. The time when the "Fa
Rectifies the Human World" will soon arrive. 5. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Head of Gezhuang Town Claimed: "No
one needs to accept responsibility for causing death or injury to Falun Dafa
practitioners." According to a reliable source, Gezhuang Town recently held a secret meeting.
At the meeting Liu Zuowen, the head of the town, presented a confidential
decree: "No one needs to accept responsibility for causing death or injury
to Falun Dafa practitioners." This kind of meeting is incited by the above organization. It is very common.
The evil people are at their wit's end. They show their hypocrisy and utilize
many ways to persecute practitioners. They don't know that justice is an axiom
in the world. They don't know that their wrong doings will be punished heavily.
They presume they can do anything at will and will follow any orders. 6. [Jingzhou City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Liu Changping was
Illegally Sent to a Forced Labor Camp Again At 9:00 pm, November 14, 2001 Kong Xianwei and four other police officers of
Zhongtun town police station, Taihe region, rushed into Liu Changping's home.
Without following legal procedures, they searched his body and ransacked his
home. With the assistance of four military police and three village officials
they arrested Liu Changping and his wife Guo Yujun by force. The couple was sent
to the First Detention Center of Jinzhou city. On December14 Liu was sent to
Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp. He was sentenced to 3 years in a labor camp. Liu had
previously spent one year in a labor camp. Because he is firm in his belief, his
term was extended by half a year. Seventeen days after his release, he was
arrested again. To eradicate further persecution of Liu by the evil forces,

Wrong Doings After Their Crime Was Exposed On Internet á After Changping Labor Camp's Crimes were exposed on Clearwisdom.net website,
the wicked police persecuted practitioners even more brutally. At the same time,
they blocked the news tightly and prohibited visits from practitioners'
families. They wrongly assume they can conceal the facts about their extremely
cruel persecution in this way. 8. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Crimes Committed by Police from
Tiananmen Square Police Station Yuan Guifeng (female), of Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, went to Beijing
to appeal for Falun Dafa on December 15, 2001. Police from the Tiananmen Square
Police Station arrested her and brutally beat her. They stripped off her clothes
and forced her to stand outside naked in the freezing cold. To force her to
promise not to practice Falun Gong, she was also hung about two meters above the
ground with her hands cuffed behind her back. Subjected to other kinds of
torture such as being choked, Yuan refused to cooperate. She has since been
transferred to her local police station. She is unable to move or speak as a
result of the abuse and is being treated at cell 9 of section 4, Daqing Fourth
Hospital. We are warning the police at Tiananmen Square: stop persecuting Falun
Dafa practitioners or you will receive retribution. Lu Zhenrong (gender unknown), also of Daqing City, living at Ranghu Road,
Xiwang District, went to Beijing to rectify the Fa. Therefore, he/she was taken
into custody at Daqing Detention Center, where he/she went on a hunger strike
for one month before he/she was transferred to Daqing Shaqu Asylum. Lu was not
admitted because of his/her poor physical condition and was then transferred to
Rangqu Detention Center for 15 days before he/she was released. After being at
home for 3 days, Yiyuan Police sent him/her to Shaqu Asylum without telling
him/her why. 9. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Practitioners were Illegally Held or Forced
into Homelessness Six policemen from Huajie Police Station, Longtan District, Jilin City
arrested three practitioners in the home of practitioner Pu Shuhua (female) on
October 26, 2001. Ten Falun Dafa books and other Dafa materials were taken away,
along with over 2000 Yuan in cash, 2 gold necklaces, 1 gold bracelet and a gold
ring. Altogether these items are worth 7000 Yuan. Practitioners were also body
searched. The police even took away the keys to people's homes. Three were sent to Jilin First and Third Detention Centers. Pu Shuzhen
(female) was released after a month. The police refused to give her the key to
her home, so she had nowhere to go. Thus, she was forced to become homeless. In
the meantime, Pu Shuhua and Tian Xuelin (female) were sent to Changchun Heizuizi
Labor Camp where they are still being held. Pu Shuzhen, a 63-year-old female, started practicing Falun Dafa in 1995. Tian
Xuelin, a 53-year-old female, started in 1999. They are both from Datong City,
Shanxi Province. Since July 20, 1999, they have been subjected to harassment by
their employers, local neighbourhood committees and the Retired Workers' offices
who have pressured them to stop practicing Falun Gong. Even their adult children
were harassed in their homes and workplaces. On February 7, 2001, after the "Tiananmen Square Self-immolation
Incident," a meeting was called for some retired workers from the company
and a dozen Falun Dafa practitioners in the company. At the meeting,
practitioners were asked to take a stand while the non-practitioners defamed
Falun Dafa. Pu Shuhua spoke at the meeting. She said that none of the people
shown on TV were practitioners. As our Master said in Chapter 7 of Zhuan
Falun in "The Issue of Killing," "For practitioners, we have
set the strict requirement that they cannot kill lives." What Pu Shuhua
said was videotaped and broadcast in the evening news but with no soundtrack.
Ever since then, they stepped up their efforts to persecute her. On March 20,
the public security section head came to Pu's home, escorted her to his office,
and asked her to tell him how she distributed truth-clarifying materials. He
threatened that if Pu did not cooperate, he would call 110 [China's
equivalent to North America's "911"] to have her arrested. He also
tried to force her to write a guarantee statement that she would give up Falun
Gong. Pu refused to cooperate. With the assistance of a friend, she was able to
walk out of his office. She left home on March 21 to escape further harassment
and lived on the street for about 10 days. In early April, she returned home. As her phone had been tapped, the company
soon knew that she was at home. On April 4, 11 p.m., four policemen from Datong
City Police Station knocked at her door. One of them held a piece of paper in
his hand, which looked like an arrest warrant. She did not open the door for
them. On April 5th at 2 p.m. the same four policemen came to her home
again. Again she refused to open the door for them. That night, Pu decided to
once again move out of her home to avoid arrest. Her company kept harassing her husband and children in order to learn her
whereabouts. Her husband was pressured to divorce her. He filed for a divorce at
the local courthouse. In August, Pu mailed the required document to him. She
dares not risk contact with her family now because the phone is tapped. Her
pension has been suspended, so other practitioners support her financially. Tian Xuelin was in a similar situation as Pu Shuhua. The city's police have
issued an arrest warrant for her. She has been forced into homelessness since
August. She is now held at Changchun Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. 10. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Practitioners Held at Jilin City Labor Camp
are Tortured On July 2, 2001, the guards at No 2 locus of Team 1, Jilin City Labor Camp
made up a marching song in which the first line defamed our Teacher. Over a
dozen practitioners refused to sing. Guards ordered inmates to body search the
practitioners and didn't allow them to put on belts or shoelaces. Inmates Chen
Wei and Cun Bo thought that practitioner Deng Changhua was a leader and decided
to beat him up. After Deng fell to the floor, he was kicked and beaten more. In
the afternoon, practitioners Dong Jiarui and Cui Guiquan were taken to the
office to be kicked, punched and shocked with electric batons. The other four
practitioners were forced to sit on top of each other, not allowed to move or to
speak. Their sleep time was also reduced. If they did not comply, the inmates
would beat them. But the inmates still find excuses to swear at or beat the
practitioners. A few days later, practitioner Jiang Yaojun was taken to the office and
brutally beaten. A few days after that, as Deng Changhua still refused to sing
the song, (they were forced to sing the song every day before rolls were called
around 8:10 a.m.), inmate Zhang Zhuo, a boxer, punched him repeatedly in the
chest and stomach. The beatings continued for a few days. Deng's chest was so
swollen that he could hardly sleep at night. The inmates used all means to
torture the practitioners: they did not allow the practitioners to wash their
faces, brush their teeth, go to the washroom or change their clothes. Insects
were put into their ears. At night, boards were taken from their beds so there
was only a one meter wide board for three practitioners to sleep on. Weighted
blankets were also put on them to hold them down. One day, Captain Chen Haijun shackled Deng's hands behind his back while
Zhang asked Deng to sing. When Deng refused, Zhang forced Deng to kneel down,
but again Deng refused to cooperate. Zhang Zhuo was so angry that he took Deng's
head and slammed it against the wall. Deng fell to the ground when Zhang
released him. His head was bleeding in several places. Later, the Captain
accused Deng of trying to commit suicide and hitting himself on the wall, that
it had nothing to do with the guards. In spite of Deng's condition, he was
forced to sit on a bench for extremely long periods of time. Deng and Jiang Wei
were forced to sit on a bench for over a month. 11. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Five Falun Dafa Printing Sites Are
Destroyed Recently, as New Year's Day and Chinese New Year were approaching, the police
found five Falun Dafa materials production sites in Chengdu City, Sichuan
Province. With 11 practitioners arrested, 3 were able to escape as they were
being shackled. We are asking fellow practitioners to strengthen righteous
thoughts to eliminate the evil and to pay special attention to safety. 12. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Mao Chun Is Abused Mao Chun, a 38-year-old male from Huadian City, Jilin Province, was taken
into custody from his home in January 2001. He has been held at a detention
center ever since. On December 15, 2001, Mao Chun started a hunger strike that
lasted for over 30 days. The detention center and local police tried to block the information about
Mao Chun's hunger strike. About 10 days later, Mao Chun's family heard about it
and insisted on his release. However, local authorities found excuses to
postpone releasing him. On December 15, they secretly held a court session
inside the detention center and no outsiders were allowed to attend. Looking
extremely weak with obvious weight loss, Mao Chun was carried into the
"court room" by two people as he was sitting on a chair. Mao Chun,
with his weak voice, said that he would continue to practice Falun Dafa and that
practicing Falun Dafa is not a crime. He demanded to be released immediately and
unconditionally. The head of the local 610 Office [an agency specially created to persecute
Falun Gong with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party
and all other political and judiciary systems] Zhou Jian claimed,
"No one will be responsible for his death." While Mao Chun's family
was demanding his release, local authorities including Public Security Bureau
Chief Wang and Gu remained unaffected by Mao Chun's condition. 13. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Police at Wuchang Force Practitioners into
Brainwashing Classes On December 28, 2001, Shuiguohu First Police Station, Wuchang District, Wuhan
city, arrested many practitioners to put them into brainwashing classes. There
were 3 policemen for each practitioner, and using so-called search warrants,
they ransacked the practitioners' homes. Shuiguohu First Police Station telephone: 86-27-87823208 14. [Laiwu City, Shandong Province] A Perpetrator in Laiwu, Shandong Province Zhang Beizeng: head of Zhangjiawa Township Police Station, Laiwu, Shandong
Province, is notorious for his swearing. He forces family members of Falun Dafa
practitioners to swear at practitioners and makes the practitioner's spouses
threaten to divorce them. He also taps practitioners' phones, harasses them, and
tricks practitioners into attending brainwashing classes. In his jurisdiction, 6
practitioners have been sent to forced labor camps; many have been illegally
held and detained. Recently, people that practice Falun Gong at home were also
