[China] Exhibition Slandering Dafa is Immediately Withdrawn
Local practitioners made a phone call to personnel at a factory security
department and labor union who were setting up an exhibition to slander Dafa.
Practitioners clarified the truth to them and shortly afterwards the
Dafa-slandering exhibition was dismantled. People are awakening.
[Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] A Dafa Practitioner Who Went to Visit Her
Detained Daughter is Sentenced to a Forced Labor Camp
On September 3, 2001, practitioner Zhang Rongxian, a resident from Xujia
Village, Yanhu District, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, went to Taiyuan City to
visit her daughter who was sentenced to two years of forced labor as a result of
appealing in Beijing. She is illegally detained in Taiyuan City's Xindian Female
Forced Labor Camp. In the labor camp registration center, the warden ordered her
to slander Teacher. She refused, with stern words. In the meantime, she
clarified the truth to the warden. However, the warden wouldn't listen to her.
He reported her to the police. The police came, yanked Zhang Rongxian by the
hair and dragged her into the police car without any valid reason. In the car
Ms. Zhang was beaten and kicked. She was detained that night and a few days
later she was sentenced to two years of forced labor.
[Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province] Policemen and Government Employees
Extort Cash from Practitioners
Toward the end of 2000, policemen in Hulan County of Heilongjiang Province
repeatedly searched and extorted money from practitioners in Kangjin Town who
went to appeal in Beijing. From December 6 to 10, Chen Jingyao, an employee in
the county's Political and Security Department, extorted 620 Yuan (about $78,
$35 is monthly income in rural area of China) from practitioners. Chang
Jianghai extorted 100 Yuan. On November 14, 2001, Zhang Hengzhi, a policeman
from Kangjin's Police Department extorted 550 Yuan from practitioners. An
official in Kangjin's Town Government even "stripped" practitioners
and extorted 1,300 Yuan from them.
[Liaozhong County, Shenyang City] Facts Regarding the Persecution of
Practitioners
On October 29, 1999, policemen arrested 38-year-old practitioner Zhao Qiliang
in Tiananmen Square. On October 31, 2001, local police escorted him back to the
Longshan Forced Labor Camp. After he was illegally detained for over a month,
four or five policemen, including Director Wang, brutally tortured him as he
kept on practicing Falun Dafa in the labor camp. Afterwards, he was illegally
detained for 15 days in the county police department and "fined" 5,000
Yuan. After he was released, he was under surveillance. Over one hundred
practitioners were persecuted this way.
Now many determined practitioners are being persecuted in jails, labor camps,
and mental hospitals as they are firmly practicing Falun Gong. We hope the
international society and kind-hearted people pay attention to this issue.
[Shandong Porvince] Details of Illegal Detention in Labor Camps in Shandong
Province
Former practitioners, those who have been brainwashed and renounced Falun
Dafa, tortured practitioners using many inhumane methods. Among those
committing the torture are Zhao Wei from Weihai City and Wang Yong from
Laigang. They often cruelly beat and torture Chu Liwen and Jiang Benzhai, even
going so far as to force Jiang Benzhai to eat human excrement.
The head of Unit No.2 of Liuchangshan's Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City
is Wang Xinyu. The head of No.5 middle group of Unit No.2 is Cui Wei. 140
male practitioners are illegally detained in Unit No.2.
800 male practitioners are illegally detained in Shandong Province's No.2
Forced Labor Camp in Wang Village. 800 female practitioners are illegally
detained in the No.2 Female Forced Labor Camp.
We hope all kind-hearted people and human rights organizations in the world
pay attention to the issue and help to rescue the practitioners.
[Wuhan City, Hubei Province] News from Wuhan City
As the New Year approached, authorities in each substation of Wuhan City's
Police Department intensified their persecution of practitioners. The Dafa
contact persons of each region were forced away from their homes and other
practitioners were harassed and persecuted to varying degrees.
1. The night of December 28, 2001, policemen from Jiyuqiao's Police Station,
Wuhan City, rushed into practitioner Peng Liangmei's home, illegally searched
her house and forcibly took her away.
2. On December 28, policemen from Zhongnanjie's Police Station rushed into
female Dafa practitioners' Hu Xingrong, Wang Guijiao and Liu Fang's homes,
forcibly took them away and illegally searched their houses.
3. On December 28, when the criminal policemen from Jiyuqiao's Police
Station, Wuhan City, rushed into female Dafa practitioner Zhang Shuzhen home,
she showed no fear and sent forth strong, righteous thoughts. The criminal
policemen immediately left her home.
4. A young policeman often goes to the universities in the Wuchang District
and pretends to be a practitioner in an attempt to dupe other practitioners. He
had already sent many from this district to prison and forced labor camps. A
practitioner told him the principle of "Doing good deeds is met with good
rewards and being evil is met with evil returns." He didn't believe it, yet
before long he was diagnosed with a strange illness, couldn't work any longer
and now in confined to his home.
[Fengtai District, Beijing City] Practitioner Illegally Sent to a Forced
Labor Camp
In April 2001, policemen kidnapped female practitioner Lu Kuan, from Fengtai
District, Beijing City, and sent her to a brainwashing "school". She
was forced to attend a series of brainwashing classes, however she firmly stuck
to her righteous beliefs. She was illegally sent to a forced labor camp and is
now held in Xinan's Forced Labor Camp.
[Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Lawless Policemen Kidnap Wang Shumin, Her
Whereabouts Unknown
In April 2001, criminal police officers kidnapped and arrested Dafa
practitioner Wang Shumin from her home. Nothing has been heard of her since. We
hope fellow practitioners and kind people from all walks of life pay attention
and stop this evil persecution.
[Jilin City, Jilin Province] Two More Dafa Practitioners are Illegally
Sentenced to Severe Punishment
On December 28, 2001, officials from the People's Court, Fenman
District/Jilin City, sentenced practitioners Pan Zhaorui and Qiao Hui to 12
years in jail and 5 years in jail, respectively. Practitioner Pan Zhaorui, male,
32 years old, graduated from a university and lived at Taishan Street, Fengman
District, Jilin City. On December 28 and 31, 2001, he successfully put a
loudspeaker at Huanxiling Forced Labor Camp, Jilin City that broadcast the
sounds of Falun Dafa, effectively suffocating the evil and inspiring the
imprisoned practitioners who have suffered so many abuses. Pan and another
practitioner (who was also detained in a forced labor camp) printed more than
30,000 copies of Dafa posters. On April 5, 2001, when they sent 15,000 copies to
Changchun City, policemen from Changchun City's Police Department arrested them.
Qiao Hui, female, 29 years old; resident of the Qingyuan Residence Section,
Longtan District, Jilin City. She was arrested when she and several other female
practitioners named Zhang Fengying, Yu Dongmei, and Wang Yanrong were clarifying
the truth and delivering fliers to people. Soon her house was illegally searched
and the lawless policemen took away all truth clarifying materials along with a
picture of Master from her home. Pan Zhaorui and Qiao Hui appealed to the court.
Zhang Fengying, Yu Dongmei and Wang Yanrong were dealt with in separate cases.
Their situation is unknown.

[Fengrun County, Hebei Province] Another Kidnapping of a Practitioner
On December 19, 2001, Cai Shuxia was kidnapped by officials from the township
government of Xinzhuangzi Township, Fengrun County, Hebei Province and sent to
the Xiaobali brainwashing class at Fengrun County.
This action was instigated by people from the county committee Their
evildoings were terrible. Many practitioners had been kidnapped to this
particular brainwashing class.

[Henan Province] National Day Fa-Rectification Activities Accomplished
at Shibalihe's Female Forced Labor Camp
On October 1, 2001, the National Day holiday, a party was held at the labor
camp. Falun Gong practitioners from all four units in the camp attended. During
the performance, practitioners unfurled two banners reading: "Falun Dafa is
Great" and "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." Other
practitioners present immediately reacted, calling out, "Falun Dafa is
Great!" "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa!" Then the practitioners
from Unit No. 3 were taken away. On their way back, policemen started to beat
them. Policemen and drug addicts beat a practitioner to the ground, using their
fists to punch and their feet to kick them. One policeman took off a
practitioner's pants. A drug addict took off her shoes and beat her viciously.
Shen Yu kicked her body madly, cursing while kicking the practitioner. After
they returned, the practitioners were locked in their own cells. Practitioners
who spoke up for Dafa at the party were madly beaten.
Practitioners refused to cooperate with the evil. They did not "count
numbers" each time when they were lined up. The "reformed" (former
practitioners who have been brainwashed and renounced Falun Dafa.) and cell
guards cursed the practitioners. "Reformed practitioners" stood at
both sides of the door, striking the practitioners heavily on their backs when
they came in and then sarcastically cursing them. Supported by the guards, the
actions of the "reformed" were wildly arrogant.
[Beijing] Accepting Dafa Flyers is Cause for Detention
A friend from Qujing City's tobacco company told me that personnel from the
Malong County tobacco company organized a trip to Beijing for vacation. Six or
seven of the employees, non-practitioners, went to see the national flag-raising
ceremony and met a practitioner who was distributing Dafa truth-clarifying
flyers. The practitioner gave flyers to each one of them. Shortly afterwards,
policemen arrested the practitioner. A female visitor, about 20 years old who
was one of the 6 or 7 people on this trip saved the flyer. On their way back at
the airport, security officers found the flyer on her. Although the travel guide
and other fellows with her told the officer she was not a practitioner, she was
detained at the airport anyway. Later she was released through a lot of
explanation, but the plane had already taken off. She had to ride the train back
home.
[Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Contacts for Those Responsible for the Death
of Practitioner Wan Guifu
Practitioner Wan Guifu from Lanzhou City, male, 57 years old, was a retired
worker of Lanzhou's Engine Factory. He lived in Building No.11 of No. 4
Residence District of this engine factory, Yang Jiaqiao Area, Qilihe District. On
March 30, 2001 he was arrested for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying
materials and illegally sent to the Xiguoyuan Detention Center. After staging a
hunger strike for 12 days, he passed away in Lanzhou's Dashaping Labor Camp
Hospital.

Lei Jun is a police officer from Guang'an District's Police Department. With
the excuse of "chatting" with practitioners, he forcibly arrested more
than 20 practitioners, including Hu Xiuchun, Wu Xueqin, and Lei Xinglian and
illegally sentenced them to a forced labor camp.

Since Jiang Zemin's criminal regime started persecuting Falun Gong in July
1999, for the sake of their personal interests, people from Sansheng Town's
Government, Beibei District in Chongqing City, led by Hu Xing (mobile phone:
011-86-13650519537) have been actively cooperating with the criminal clique to
do evil. They again and again illegally broke into practitioners' homes to
search for Dafa materials. On September 10, 2001, practitioners Yang Shaoyu and
Li Hengyu were arrested. On September 20, practitioners You Mingbi and Deng
Liqun were taken away from home after ruffians Tang Xianwen, Huang Yunxia and
Wang ransacked their homes. The practitioners are now missing.
Zhou Tianshou from Shijia Town of Beibei District even deceived the
6-years-old granddaughter of practitioner Zhou Shaofen to provide information
for him. He said, "You are a good girl. You won't tell lies, right? Does
your grandma have Falun Gong books?" The na ve child replied,
"Yes." Zhou and other people immediately broke into Zhou Shaofen's
home to search for the books. That day, knowing the lawless policemen were
waiting at her home, Zhou was decided to leave her home and live in exile. She
has been doing so for more than 3 months. The ruffians couldn't find her, so
they took her husband to the police station and forced him to look for Zhou.
[Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] Scofflaw Police Officers Intentionally
Violate the Law and Commit Crimes at Will
Scofflaw police officers from Dianjiang County of Chongqing City entered
practitioners' homes without showing search warrants. They ransacked homes and
arrested practitioners at will. Family members of practitioners are living in
panic all day long.
Falun Dafa practitioners Luu Jianjun, Huo Xuezhi, Wang Caizhen (female) and
He Hong (female) etc. are illegally detained at Dianjiang County's Detention
Center. Some of them have been detained for more than a year, with the shortest
detention time being several months. This kind of indefinite detention term
without a formal charge is a serious violation of the national laws.
[Longquan City, Sichuan Province] Longquan City Police Officers Kidnap
Practitioners
In mid December, Longquan City police officers again took 8 Falun Dafa
practitioners away. They include: Shi Lanfang (female), a retired worker from
the Aerospace Industrial School; Chen Zhan, an employee of Longquan City's
Construction Bank, and also his mother, sister and wife Lin Mei, an employee of
Longquan City's Telecommunication Bureau. The time and place of their detention
are unknown.
