Introducing Falun Gong in Romania (Part I)

Several Romanian practitioners residing in Canada, Sweden, USA as well as locals from Romania have started a tour around Romania to let people know about the persecution of Falun Gong in China and to introduce the practice.

Romanians do not get many opportunities to hear the truth and to learn about the beauty of Falun Dafa, so with this trip, many have been very interested in making the most of this opportunity.

Before starting the tour, several activities were held in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, which included a visit to the Minister of Foreign Affairs - Human Rights Dept. We clarified the truth of the persecution and left them with many materials - including videotapes, CDs, the Compassion magazine, etc. The person in charge at the office asked for details about the practice site in Bucharest and how she could join the practitioners there. We also clarified the truth to some Chinese officials for over two hours during a very productive meeting.

The tour started on September 21 with the cities of Piatra Neamt and Iasi in Northeastern Romania. Workshops were held in these two cities, with many interested Romanians wanting to learn Falun Dafa.

Four practitioners wearing yellow T-shirts decided to demonstrate the 5 sets of exercises in the plaza at the center of Iasi. This was a very successful and effective event, as over 500 people passed by. They asked questions and received many flyers. The night before, we passed out flyers in downtown and out of about 100 flyers that were offered, only about 3 people refused to take them -- it was quite amazing! Some people said when they received the flyer, "I have been waiting for this for a long time." Others asked for more to give to their friends.

During the workshops, after showing the videotape with details about the persecution, many people's eyes brimmed with tears. We could feel how our words, strengthened by the power of Dafa, were clarifying the truth and eliminating the evil in these areas, giving these people the opportunity to obtain the Fa of the cosmos.

The tour continues with many other cities coming up - we just hope to not run out of flyers and other materials. Tomorrow, September 24, we have confirmed a one-hour slot for a talk show with a major TV station to discuss Falun Gong. This will undoubtedly reach tens of thousands of people.
