French MP and Former Cabinet Member Jack Lang Expresses His Full Support to Falun Gong (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On September 29, 2002, former Cabinet member and current MP Jack Lang expressed his full support of Falun Gong. Mr. Lang talked with practitioners who were spreading Dafa in front of the Bastille Opera House and made clear his position.

It was a bright, sunny day in Paris, and the streets were crowded with people from around the world. In the evening, Falun Gong practitioners came to Bastille Square and held "SOS Urgent Rescue" activities to clarify the truth in front of the Bastille Opera House. The exhibition boards exposing the Jiang regime's brutal persecution attracted many people, and the practitioners took the opportunity to pass out many truth-clarifying flyers. Practitioner Zhao Ming from Ireland talked about the inhuman tortures he suffered during his two years' detention in one of China's many forced labor camps.

Just after the activities started, Jack Lang and his wife passed by the area and were drawn to the exhibition. Mr. Lang had served as the Minister of Cultural Affairs, Minister of Education, and is also a law professor. During his tenure as Minister of Education, he made many efforts to rescue French practitioner and Ph.D. candidate Chi Jian and his family, and Irish practitioner and Master's candidate Zhao Ming.

Practitioners expressed their sincere appreciation for Mr. Lang's righteous actions. Mr. Lang said humbly that it was the least he could do. He felt very relieved that Zhao Ming had eventually regained his freedom and inquired of Zhao Ming's studies. Mr. Lang ensured the practitioners that he would continue his firm support of Falun Gong.
