Letter of Support from Transport Workers Union to President Bush
(Clearwisdom.net) Transport Workers Union of America The Honorable George W. Bush Dear President Bush: The Transport Workers Union would like to add its voice to the many organizations and individuals
who are speaking out against the ongoing rights violations by the government of China. We will be
among the unions, human rights groups, religious and women's organizations who will be protesting
Chinese Communist leader Jiang Zemin's visit to the U.S. this month. All Americans should be aware of the human rights atrocities perpetrated by the Chinese regime in
their own country and elsewhere against religious groups, workers, women, democracy advocates and
various ethnic groups. The protection of fundamental human rights and freedom of belief must be a
top priority for our country. The U.S. government must demand that Jiang Zemin end the violent repression of Chinese citizens
at home, as well as the regime's illegal conduct overseas. Sincerely, Frank McCann á
