Clarifying the Truth with All Our Might and Eliminating the Evil with Righteous Thoughts

Greetings to our honorable Teacher and everyone,

I am very pleased to be here and share cultivation experiences with practitioners in Asia. On behalf of Dafa practitioners in Singapore, I will summarize our Fa-rectification and Fa spreading work in Singapore.

In "Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida," Teacher emphasized the importance of studying the Fa, clarifying the truth, and sending forth righteous thoughts. Recently, Master clearly pointed out in "Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference," "That is why each Dafa disciple needs to realize the importance of clarifying the truth. This, more than anything, is what you should do with all your effort, and it's the most magnificent. The salvation of sentient beings and the Consummation of cosmic bodies that correspond to you are all part of this. Every single Dafa disciple needs to do this. Don't miss a single opportunity." I will report our recent work from the aforementioned perspectives.

Clarifying the Truth with All Our Might to Save Sentient Beings

After studying Master's "Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida," "Touring North America to teach the Fa," and other new articles, more and more Dafa practitioners in Singapore realized the significance of clarifying the truth to sentient beings, especially the precious Chinese people. Therefore, Dafa practitioners in Singapore have become more active in various kinds of Fa-ratification work.

Despite the size of Singapore, there are tens of thousands Chinese scholars, workers and students in Singapore. In addition, every day hundreds, even thousands, of Chinese tours arrive in Singapore every day. In general, we have been clarifying the truth to the Chinese people living or traveling to Singapore through three approaches:

1) Dafa practitioners have been doing Falun Gong exercises and distributing Dafa flyers at a famous tourist spots every day. Dafa practitioners are always there from dawn to dusk, rain or shine. From our experiences, we were sad to see some Chinese people have been deceived by the fraudulent lies of the Chinese government, and relieved to be able to unveil the lies of the Chinese government. Many Chinese people accepted our truth clarification flyers, posters or CDs, were receptive to the truth, and expressed their condolences over the persecution, as well as their admiration of our righteous spirits. Once, several Chinese visitors told practitioners, "We admire you for your righteous spirits and behavior. You have our blessings."

2) Initiate contacts with local Chinese residents in Singapore to spread Dafa and clarify the truth by making friends, and chatting with them. Most of the Chinese people we have contacted were very kind. They not only accepted our truth clarification materials, but also told us about the persecution against their friends or relatives in their hometown in China. Some were even willing to risk their personal safety and took truth clarification materials back to China. Some attended the nine-day Fa lectures, and started to cultivate in Falun Dafa.

3) We have also been clarifying the truth to people in China through various means, such as mass mailing, fax, email, personal phone calls, and online chatting.

As for the local Singaporeans, we continue to demonstrate Falun Gong exercises in groups in all major parks. We also provide nine-day lecture seminars every month. There are new practitioners every month. While the Jiang regime continues to spread lies and attack Dafa everywhere, we are very moved when we see sentient beings of all ethnic groups coming to learn Falun Gong exercises and to study the Fa. The profound meaning of Teacher's words in "Lecture at the First Conference in North America," "The Fa saves predestined people," became clear to us. In addition, Dafa practitioners spontaneously will visit residents near the group practice sites, introducing Falun Gong and informing them of the brutal persecution in China. Practitioners would often labor in the blazing sun carrying heavy bags full of truth clarification materials. They walked from door to door, floor to floor, to be sure they did not miss any sentient being. During the conversations with the residents, many people immediately changed their negative opinions about Dafa, and gladly accepted our truth clarification materials. During important festivals, practitioners from different practice sites would put on their yellow T-shirts and gather in popular areas to distribute Dafa materials and bookmarks. In addition, we actively took advantage of opportunities to join different kinds of community activities to spread the Fa. During the past eight months, Falun Gong practitioners have participated in the following community events: the New Year commodity exhibit, fast walk competition, a picnic of over ten thousands people, international calligraphy exhibition, and Singapore consumer carnival. Practitioners attended these activities with a positive and pleasant spirit. Our behavior was the best way to reveal the truth about Falun Gong. One experience worth mentioning was that, during the New Year consumer commodity exhibit, Falun Gong practitioners were invited to demonstrate Falun Gong exercises on stage. That was truly an unforgettable moment.

Persist in Sending Righteous Thoughts to Eliminate the Evil

There is a lot of truth clarification work to do, but Dafa practitioners have never neglected the importance of Fa study. During the first half year, practitioners from different areas gathered once a week to study the Fa together, to share their understandings of the Fa, and to share their Fa-spreading experiences. We encouraged one another in this fashion. After June, in order to keep up with the global efforts of sending forth righteous thoughts, we would send forth righteous thoughts every set hour and study the Fa in an activity center every Friday and Saturday evening. Many practitioners persistently would drive one or two hours in order to send forth righteous thoughts with fellow practitioners. Moreover, there are always practitioners sending forth righteous thoughts in parks near the center of the evil every day. When the head of the evil visited foreign countries, Dafa practitioners from Singapore went to Russia, Iceland and Hong Kong to send forth righteous thoughts in close proximity. Some of them entered these countries easily, but some encountered various degrees of interference and were blocked at the airports or customs. After returning from these Fa-rectification trips, we always studied the Fa together, shared our experiences, and looked inward for areas of improvement. During the millennium carnival, just ten minutes before we were about to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises on stage, one of the coordinators of the event cancelled our program. Upon hearing the news, the practitioners back stage began to quietly send forth righteous thoughts, while some other practitioners kept righteous thoughts in mind and communicated with the coordinators. Soon, another coordinator agreed to let us perform on stage as originally planned.

Nowadays, more and more veteran and new practitioners have begun to incessantly clarify the truth and spread the Fa to sentient beings everywhere, such as on buses, in the subway, and on the streets. They clarify the truth to everyone around them, including relatives, friends, colleagues, or neighbors. Just as Master said in "To All Students at the Nordic Fa Conference," "So in clarifying the truth, don't wait, don't rely on others, and don't just hope for changes in external factors. Every one of us is creating history for the future, that's why everyone is not only participating in group activities, but also taking the initiative to look for things to do." During truth clarification efforts, Dafa practitioners saw their attachments and loopholes. All kinds of questions came up, such as, "How to eliminate the attachments to fame, personal gain, and sentiments," "How to balance the relation between work, family, and the cultivation," "How to safeguard the Fa," or "How to regard various kinds of tribulations and obstacles." Everyone regarded the Fa as Teacher, kept righteous thoughts, and cooperated with one another. Step by step we pulled through all kinds of difficulties. In addition, Dafa practitioners really made the best of their individual talents and skills in order to clarify the truth more effectively. For instance, the computer experts sacrificed their spare time to teach fellow practitioners to operate computers for truth clarification work. Musicians composed Dafa music, and performed music programs in many Dafa events. There were also a camera team, translation team, and writing team working together to author articles with or without photographs and TV programs that we saw on the Dafa web sites. Every Dafa particle is melting himself within the Fa, and contributing themselves to the Fa. Just as Teacher said in, "Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference," "This persecution that's been imposed on us by the old forces has made us more and more mature, more and more rational, more and more clearheaded, more and more steadfast, and more and more able to take this evil's persecution seriously as we expose the evil's lies, validate Dafa, and save sentient beings."

Finally, I would like to end my report by mentioning the heart-felt support from the overseas Dafa practitioners. Last November, Singapore practitioners hosted an experience sharing conference. We received enthusiastic support from fellow practitioners from many countries. This support was most helpful in inspiring our understanding of the Fa. In comparison with practitioners in other countries, we truly felt that we had not done enough for Dafa. For example, Hong Kong practitioners have always put Dafa in the first place, despite the extreme pressure from the Jiang government in Hong Kong. They have done truly remarkably well in clarifying the truth to people in Hong Kong. With their strong righteous thoughts, Korean practitioners successfully eliminated the evil that manipulated the newspapers that were publishing articles that slandered Dafa. We were very touched by the righteous thoughts and belief of Indonesian practitioners when we attended the first Fa Conference in Indonesia. Apparently the Dafa practitioners in Singapore have much to learn from practitioners in other countries with respect to truth clarification work. Only when we truly study the Fa well, improve ourselves in the Fa, and become completely aware of the responsibilities of a Dafa practitioner, will we be able to eliminate the evil with our strong righteous thoughts that have suppressed the true nature of and poisoned sentient beings. Let's encourage one another, and advance further together in the Fa.
