Over Thirty Dafa Practitioners in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province Illegally Sentenced to Terms of Six to Fourteen Years

(Clearwisdom.net) In January 2002, the evil forces in Heilongjiang Province started to massively kidnap Dafa practitioners. They illegally searched and confiscated the property of practitioners, arrested them, sent them to forced labor camps and sentenced them. Just in the women's team of Heilongjiang Province Drug Rehabilitation Forced Labor Camp alone, over 100 Dafa practitioners were illegally detained in April and May. By early July, the number increased to 360 or 370 practitioners, of whom the oldest is 70 years old and many more are in their 50's or 60's.

The police in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province sent a large number of Dafa practitioners to forced labor camps and sentenced them. Those whose health conditions did not meet the criteria of the forced labor camps were sent back but were still not released. Instead, they continued to be detained in the detention center and they were sent back to the forced labor camps again after a period of time.

Those who were illegally sentenced in May include: Li Jingwei, who was sentenced to 8 years; Yu Zhonghai, sentenced to 15 years, and Ding Yu who was sentenced to 5 years. In September, 30 to 40 practitioners were illegally sentenced and their terms ranged from 6 to 14 years.

Many practitioners who were arrested at home for no reason were sentenced to 3 years of forced labor "re-education" and none of them have been released. The child of detained Dafa practitioner Xiaogai was only two years old.
