Central News Agency: Jiang Will Hear U.S. Falun Gong Practitioners' Voices of Protest in Texas

(Clearwisdom.net) In an October 14th report, Central News Agency's reporter Guo Wuhuan stated that Jiang plans to visit U.S. President Bush's Texas ranch on the 25th of October 2002. Jiang's overseas visit will become focal point of Falun Gong practitioners' gathering and protest. Falun Gong practitioners in Washington D.C decided to hold a national "Rescue Our Family Members" car parade and many practitioners will gather in Texas to let Jiang hear their voices of protest.

This action will call for all Falun Gong practitioners whose family members or friends are suffering persecution in China to go to Texas as soon as possible, and they will meet with practitioners from other parts of U.S as well as from Canada. It is anticipated that practitioners taking part in this "rescue activity" will begin their journeys from five different cities including Boston, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Seattle, San Francisco and Toronto, Canada.

The host agency said the Falun Gong practitioners would call out to Jiang, "Immediately stop the persecution and suppression of Falun Gong practitioners."

They also hope U.S. President Bush will request Jiang to release all illegally detained Falun Gong practitioners in China during his meeting with Jiang. During Jiang's visit at President Bush's ranch in Texas, Falun Gong practitioners will try to bring related information to Texas and let Jiang hear it clearly. According to the host agency, many Falun Gong practitioners in Washington D.C. had their wife, mother or other family members illegally detained in China. Some were sent to forced labor camps or illegally sentenced to jail. Some were often harassed by police. There are 22 families in the U.S. with similar situations, whose nearly 40 family members are detained in China.
