How the Whole Family of a Police Department Deputy Chief Obtained the Fa

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. A is a police department deputy chief in a provincial capitol. On a business trip to our city one day before July 20, 1999, he came to our practice site for a few days and learned the Falun Gong set of exercises. He told us this story when we met him on the street a few months later.

He said: "I am a new practitioner. I had only just learned Falun Gong when the regime's persecution against Falun Gong was declared. It was ironic that I was ready for retirement after working honestly my entire life, and I had suddenly committed a so-called "political mistake" by practicing Falun Gong. But I knew I had done nothing wrong. I felt awful. My family members pressured me not to practice, saying that the authorities had said it was not good. At that time I was truly suffering and felt helpless. The television, newspapers, and brainwashing machine all criticized Falun Gong incessantly. I thought to myself that I needed to be sure even if I did make a mistake. I took out Zhuan Falun and read it word by word from the beginning to the end. After the first time through, I found that everything the book said was true. So I read it the second time, and I still felt that it was entirely correct. I read it the third time, and found that the book was still entirely good. A miracle occurred as I finished reading Zhuan Falun for the third time: The outer layer of all of my skin peeled off, leaving skin that was smooth and healthy, not like the skin I had before. I realized at once that I have obtained a true teaching, a very precious teaching. I became determined that I would practice. My family members all saw the transformations I have experienced, and began to study and practice together with me. Now our family has become a small Fa-study and practice group."

His words were simple, his mind was peaceful and calm, and his manner was determined yet at ease. Seeing the healthy tone of his skin and sharing the joy that emanated from the bottom of his heart, I could not help but have this thought: Under the slander and persecution of Jiang Zemin's regime, thousands of practitioners have used rationality to see through the lies and deceptive tricks propagated by the persecutory force. They have chosen their own paths and are forging ahead with determination on their cultivation journey.
