University of Missouri Students Sign Banner Appealing for the Release of Falun Gong Practitioners (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 18, 2002, Falun Gong practitioners in the City of Columbia collected signatures for an appealing banner stating, "Freedom for Falun Gong" to be brought to Chicago and Houston. At the same time they exposed the Chinese dictator's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners to call on all kind-hearted people in the world to oppose the Jiang regime that tramples upon the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners.

The photos on display boards depicting the brutal tortures Falun Gong practitioners suffered, attracted many passers-by who signed their names without any hesitation on the banner upon learning that it was to support the persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. We collected several hundred signatures within two hours.

The largest campus newspaper at the University of Missouri and a local TV station reported on the signature collection activity.
