Clarify the Truth At All Times and in Every Situation

(Clearwisdom.net) Teacher said, "Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos' Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, diamond-like bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is. Dafa disciples are truly stepping forward out of ordinary humanness." ("Also in a Few Words"). And elsewhere Teacher said, "Cultivation is hard. It's hard in that even when a terrible calamity strikes, even when evil madly persecutes, and even when your life is at stake, you still have to be able to steadfastly continue on your path of cultivation without letting anything in human society interfere with the steps you take on your path of cultivation. ("Path").

I had the predestined relationship to obtain the Fa on my birthday in April 1998. I always treasure the heavenly book, Zhuan Falun, as part of my life. Every day, no matter how busy, how difficult or how tired, I insist on reading two chapters of Zhuan Falun. Since the day when I obtained the Fa, relying on my righteous faith and determination in Teacher and Dafa, I followed Teacher closely on my rocky road of cultivation to today.

In March 2000, I went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for Dafa. I was arrested by the police, sent to the public security bureau in my county, and detained for eighteen days. My wages were withheld for over a year. And in order to avoid further persecution, I had to leave home and go to the countryside. This was a good environment for me to clarify the truth and expose the evil. I clarified the truth about Dafa's being wrongfully treated, Jiang's regime persecuting Dafa and Dafa disciples, and also that good will be rewarded with good and evil be met with evil. By clarifying the truth, I made the people understand the truth. The local police came to persecute me several times, but were prevented by the peasants who were just like my brothers. They all said that you should not arrest a good person.

After I went back home, the leader of the National Security Team of the county suddenly came to my home. He asked: "Are you still practicing Falun Gong?" I said: "It is such a good practice. How can I not practice it?" Then he asked me: "Do you still have a lot of books?" I said I only had Zhuan Falun. He said: "You should turn it in." While sending forth righteous thoughts, I kindly clarified the truth to him: "Do you know this is a book telling us the principles of how to be a good person who cultivates his heart and becomes compassionate. It is worth more than my life. I cannot hand it in. It is the same as if you want to take my life away from me if you want me to hand it in. Those who practice Falun Gong follow the principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" to cultivate their hearts and be compassionate. They neither steal nor do they gamble. Why do you always cause trouble for me?"

He said: "The country does not allow you to practice it." I replied: "Which country? [The Communist Party chief] cannot represent the country. We are safeguarding the dignity of the Constitution, since the Constitution clearly states that the citizens have the right to appeal and freedom of religion and speech. I went to Beijing just to say that Falun Dafa is good, and I was detained for eighteen days, forced to attend the brainwashing class for twenty-seven days, and my wages were stopped for over a year. I was forced to leave my family and become homeless. Is this the best human rights period as the leader claims? Good will be rewarded with good and evil met with evil. You should stop helping the tyrant commit crimes." The leader of the National Security Team had no other choice but to say: "If you want to practice it, practice at home. Don't meet with others. And, you are not allowed to go to Beijing." Then, he left.

One day after watching propaganda regarding the staged immolation incident in the brainwashing class, the Secretary of the Political and Judicial Committee, who is also in charge of the "610 Office"[An agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems], asked me what my understanding of the incident was. I said it was a fabrication. Genuine Falun Gong practitioners could never do this, since Zhuan Falun states clearly: "For practitioners, we have set the strict requirement that they cannot kill lives." Teacher also told us clearly in the "Falun Dafa Lecture in Sydney" that suicide was committing a sin. Genuine practitioners will absolutely not go against Teacher's teachings to do that kind of thing. So the self-immolation incident was actually staged by those who had ulterior motives to defame Falun Gong. This severely harms China's world image. We ask that the conspirators behind it be punished. He said: "You are talking nonsense. It looks like you need to stay here for a few more days. " I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors within him. He changed the topic suddenly and asked: "What is the benefit of practicing Falun Gong?" I said that it was cultivation for both body and mind. It teaches people to be compassionate and think first of others when doing things. After practicing it for several years, my chronic illnesses that bothered me were removed, my body was purified, and I become healthy. For several years, I have not needed to go to the hospital and do not need to take medicine. I have less pain and have saved lots on medical expenditures. And at the same time, I understand the principle of how to be a good person. All of us try to be good people and to not do anything bad, which will save the public security departments a lot of trouble. After the other prisoners and I clarified the truth and sent forth righteous thoughts, we finally awoke the conscience of the person in charge of the "610 Office". Twenty-seven days later, I was released. Having found out that their conscience had been awakened, I continuously sent them VCDs of the truth of the self-immolation incident and the April 25 Zhongnanhai appeal etc. Many of their staff members also learned to work more conscientiously. "If the higher authority has false policies, we will have good strategies." The cultivation environment in our area has also improved gradually.

On the evening of December 31, 2001, some other fellow practitioners and I posted Dafa materials and flyers in the streets and suburbs. The police from the public security bureau began a large search in the county. They ransacked several fellow practitioners' homes and also my home. Because we sent forth righteous thoughts and made early preparations, they found nothing. A policeman viciously said to me : "Are you still practicing Falun Gong?" I had a righteous mind and was not scared, so I calmly said : "I practice Falun Gong for twenty-four hours without stop." The police left.

One day when I was sending forth righteous thoughts at the hour, suddenly I heard Teacher's words in my brain:

"He comes with the Truth, which gives him full control,
And travels the four seas with a free and easy spirit,
Spreading the Fa's principles throughout the secular world,
Loaded full with sentient beings, his Fa Boat sets sail."

At that time, a great sense of urgency and obligation made me realize that Teacher wants me to give up all my attachments to make use of every minute to study the Fa, to eliminate the evil and to clarify the truth. The following days, everything went smoothly and everyone was willing to accept the truth of Dafa.

In March 2002, I took a job working at a warehouse. The garbage in the warehouse was piled high like a mountain. There was little water and the atmosphere was stuffy. I thought this was a chance to upgrade my Xinxing and have righteous thoughts and behavior. Teacher said: "With suffering in the world endured, leave the world as a Buddha." ("Tempering One's Mind and Heart", Hong Yin, draft translation subject to further improvement). Since the company was having financial difficulties, I used my own money to buy a broom, shovel and flashlights etc. I cleaned the sewage and the garbage. The leaders and employees said that it was well done, and also that the hearts of the practitioners were not ordinary. I was praised by the supervisory authority. At the same time, I clarified the truth to them so that they understood that Dafa was wrongfully treated. Several days later, a party secretary from another workplace told the manager in my work unit: "You are protecting Falun Gong. Your warehouse has become a battle place to promote Falun Gong." I sent forth righteous thoughts while listening to this, and also told my manager: "In order not to influence your job, please hire someone else." He said: "You did so well, and you are a good person. If they come from the higher authority to create trouble for you, I will try my best to stop them. The worst would be that I give up being a manager."

When the party secretary of the other workplace found that his methods did not work, he reported to our superiors. The party secretary and the chief of the protection section came to talk to me, and I maintained my righteous thoughts and behavior. The moment I came to the office, I told them Falun Gong was wrongfully treated. Falun Gong teaches cultivating one's mind and being compassionate; it is wrong to persecute Falun Gong, and it violates the Constitution. We are clarifying the truth to save the world's people and protect the Constitution and human rights. What we have been doing will go down in history.

The section chief said: "The supervisor asked us to help educate you. It turns out that you are educating us." The Party Secretary said: "You became a good person after you started practicing Falun Gong, but you should not promote it. The county Public Security Bureau has tried to find out and we all said that you stopped practicing." I said: "It is of boundless beneficence to protect a Dafa practitioner, and you will receive good blessings in the future." He asked: "Is that true?" The section chief of the protection section said, "By the way, just practice it, but don't go anywhere to meet with others." I said: "The Constitution says that we have the freedom for religion and speech, how can I not clarify the truth?" Both the Party Secretary and the Section Chief smiled.
