Compassion Makes Dafa Practitioners One Body

(Clearwisdom.net) Our teacher said: "Now when we clarify the truth to others you all feel that we should treat sentient beings with compassion, then all the more so should you be compassionate among our Dafa disciples." ("Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference")

After studying the Fa, our fellow practitioners are making more efforts to "strive vigorously forward together." Local practitioners called for a meeting of the practitioners who had come from Mainland China. Dozens of the practitioners who have experienced the vicious persecution in China talked about their own experiences.

These practitioners now plan to get together to study the Fa and share their experiences every month. They have come to realize their magnificent duty as Dafa disciples in Fa-rectification process and are working hard to get into the mighty current to tell the truth and save the sentient beings.

There are many practitioners over 50 years old and they play very important roles in validating the Fa, telling the truth and saving people. Especially the persecution began July 20^th, 1999, they have been persistently clarifying the truth in front of the consulate, eliminating the evil, handing out Dafa materials, participating in various group activities and taking part in many Christmas parades in different regions. In some aspects like telling the truth in oversea countries and to Chinese people from Mainland China, many practitioners overcome their own problems to get involved. Even people who are 76 years age work hard to study how to use the computer to tell the truth.

For the elderly practitioners, they have their own specialties, advantages, and common problems. In order to exchange experiences deeply and make great improvement from the perspective of the Fa, elderly Toronto practitioners got together for their own meeting.

During the meeting, practitioners shared their experiences and gave examples of how elderly practitioners have stepped forward to validate Dafa. Some practitioners have told about how they learned to use a computer step by step, and expressed their wishes to help others in learning computer skills. Quite a few practitioners showed their interests. Some veteran practitioners also talked about their experiences from the Fa-rectification, and spoke about how many people in Mainland China have awoken from the deception.

Determined elderly practitioners have held banners in the plaza of Ottawa's Parliament Building, have staged a 36-hour hunger strike, and appealed to the international community to stop the persecution in China immediately. On many chilly nights, these elderly practitioners meditated silently in front of the consulate, and many people have been touched by them and sent hot coffee to them.

Our teacher said: "Dafa disciples' doing Fa-rectification has no precedent in history. In the magnificent, grand feats of validating the Fa with rationality, clarifying the truth with wisdom, and spreading the Fa and saving people with mercy, each Dafa disciple's path of Consummation is being perfected. At this great moment in history, every steady step is a glorious historic testimony, and is incomparably magnificent mighty virtue. All this is being recorded in the history of the cosmos.
