The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Mr. Xu Kaiyan, the Secretary of the Longta Liaison Office of Macheng City, Hubei Province, persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners' many times. He personally organized the personnel who conducted searches in homes, levied fines, etc against Falun Dafa practitioners. Now, he has been arrested on charges of corruption, and all cadres of the four villages under his direction where Falun Gong was persecuted have been implicated as well. While in detention, Xu Kaiyan's past activities are being investigated.

Elementary School Administrators in Jianshan District Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province directed a campaign that incited all teachers and students at their school to defame and slander Falun Dafa. The Director, Secretary, and Principal all received karmic retribution soon after. After giving a speech slandering Falun Dafa over the loud speaker, the Director felt dizzy all day. One of the Secretary's legs turned black with a vasculitis condition. The Principal was recently diagnosed with pleurisy tuberculosis.
