To My California Falun Dafa Friends:
Although I cannot join you today at the first celebration ceremony for
California Falun Dafa Month, it is a pleasure to recognize the commitment of
Falun Gong practitioners to improving health in body, mind and spirit.
Emphasizing the understanding of the life through health and harmony, Falun
Dafa has helped people from varied ethnic, religious, social, educational and
economic backgrounds all over the world, sometimes despite persecution and
repression.
It is important to remember that the response of the U.S. to the crimes
committed overseas against Falun Gong practitioners speaks as much to the
character of America as it does to the character of China, Democracy and human
rights are a priority in America, and freedom of speech is an unalienable right,
no matter what country you call home.
I commend you for your accomplishments in the community through the
principles of Falun Dafa.
